Somebody help me with how I should focus my approach to this game. There is just too much shyt to do. I mean like all of the crafting options, eating, clothes, shaving, hunting, donating to camp, bounty system, horse maintenance etc...

I loved RDR1. But shyt was pretty simple, upgrade gun, upgrade horse, hunt, do mission, sell collectibles.

I feel like everytime I pick up the game, I spend an hour accomplishing absolutely nothing.

In the simplest terms

Do some missions if/when you feel like, or explore, or hunt, or cause ruckus. Wipe a town out. Hunt the KKK down. There's tons of hidden secrets and missions to stumble on. It's really not a point A to point B game outside of the main missions. I would say get to ~Chapter 3 ASAP. That's where it really starts to open up iirc

It sucks how unceremonious Arthur dies. All alone on that mountain:mjcry:

Dutch not taking my word over Micah :pacspit:

Now in the epilogue and im wondering how the hell is John broke. Arthur gave him his satchel, and tilly had the damn sack of train cash. Plus John could have went back to the cave later on if he wanted. It's not like he's hiding too far

TLOU2 vs RDR2 is an interesting one. A lot of similarities between the two even though they're completely diff games - RDR2 has aged really well in the two years it's been out. Guess it just comes down what you like more out of an open world experience or a linear, on rails game - both were the best games of this generation IMO.

They couldn't be more polar opposites IMO...

On story alone, only one of them has been universally praised by gamers/fans...

RDR2 shows you how to kill off a beloved protagonist the right way and pass the torch on to another, TLOU2 is in exercise in how to do it the wrong way...

In terms of game of the gen, Witcher 3, God Of War and RDR2 are far superior to TLOU2...

If I was to do a tier layout of this gen, TLOU2 wouldn't be in the same tier as those games...

Terrible comparison, the worst said about RDR2 is that it's "boring" to some. It's the true Game Of The Generation. TLOU2 doesn't have nearly as much of replayability as this game. I had a Arthur save 60% into the story but accidentally saved over it with my John save and didn't even care. Just started up a THIRD playthrough because of that yesterday. This game is has the same magic that VC, SA, IV, Bully, Manhunt and RDR1 has. (MP3, LA Noire not so much) it's already an iconic experience imo.

RE2 Remake, a game that doesn't really have an immersive story and equipped with a very limited, rigid gameplay experience still somehow, some way is more enjoyable than TLOU2. same goes Days Gone and it's poor animatuons. That's what happens when you lose the poetic atmosphere of the original game and infuse the highly anticipated sequel with LGBT Agendas. The whole time the game just looks like it's trying to compete with another game storywise by pushing the "shock factor" every so often.
