I swear dutch is dumb. We should have went after the Odriscolls after Arthur was kidnapped. Instead he let them get the drop on him

Have you read Arthur's journal? Arthur & Hosea were in the middle of a big scam that was going to lead to some big money, but Micah convincing Dutch to do the heist early which fukked everything up. There's plenty of things that they could put in there that leads up to the heist. That's my point about the Blackwater DLC, they could show how the gang found Lenny, Jenny, Micah, the Callander boys etc.
:snoop:Never understood how Micah was able to override Dutch's common sense and had him make dumb decisions.... ESPECIALLY since nobody in the camp liked Micah at all

I think Micah just helped to expose that Dutch wasn't as smart as he pretended to be. The fact that he agreed to do a ferry heist without his best gunslinger in Arthur, and his most trusted and smartest friend in Hosea proves that he was starting to lose it.

I always felt that Dutch was just as grimey and uncivilized as a guy like Colm o'Driscoll but he wanted to seem more important than the common outlaw hence the way that he always spoke like a politician and the fancy clothes & rings he always wore. Funny thing was that it was Uncle of all people that called Dutch out on his bullshyt in front of everyone but nobody listened...

Those camp conversations aren't long but they add a lot of depth.
Oh nah I'm not saying everything Dutch did is related to head injury I just think it might be what started his fall off towards the end there. Idk though, just a theory :yeshrug:
You're not wrong because everyone got fukked up in that crash, but they made sure to focus on Dutch's injury during the cutscene.

The paranoia mightve increased but he was always a piece of shyt. Killing the girl in blackwater, killing the old woman in guarma, and then killing the girl hostage in RDR1. It's a pattern. He's a hustler without sense
