JM just feels inferior to Arthur IMO

Maybe it was because how he was portrayed throughout RDR2, just seemed like a shell of himself in RDR2. However John in the epilogue >>>> John during the main story.

I think if we're talking John from RDR1 then in it's neck and neck, but I'd still just edge it to Arthur.

You're comparing the side character to the main character in RDR2. If you compare John in RDR1 vs. Arthur in RDR2, then that's more of a fair comparison.

So Cal
Arthur >>>>> delusional ass John. Spent whole rdr be whining about how he got left for dead and shyt ain't even go down like that. They shot at him and Arthur but I'm still looking at John in rdr kinda funny.

The unknown
- While playing the Epilogue I was otw to the next mission. I tried to take a shortcut to the destination since the marker was curving all over the place
- I end up riding my horse off a cliff :snoop:. Luckily there were leveled rocks below, so after bouncing off them a couple times, me and the horse come to a stop

-Surprisingly I survived the fall. My horse did too, but it was in critical condition :snoop:. The messages saying I need horse revival came up; I checked my inventory and of course I have none.

- My morality meter started taking hits, I guess because I unintentionally almost killed my horse:snoop:

- I set off on foot (the town wasn't too far away) and a random event occurs where bounty hunters were taking a roped person in who was begging for help. I figured I'd kill three birds with one stone; kill the hunters, set the guy free, and steal their horse :ehh:

- I kill the hunters as planned and untie the person (who ends up running away). After I loot the bodies hoping I get lucky with revival, I go search for the horse. Apparently someone nearby saw the carnage and was going to report it as a murder :skip:

- I shoot at the person who was running away, but he escapes. The gunfire scares off the horse I was going to steal :snoop:.

- Now the "investigating murder" icon comes up, so I run off. I slide down another cliff, and some canoes are nearby. I paddle out of the search area. No bounty on my head since they didn't see me :whew:

-I'm climb back up to a main path to go check on my horse/walk towards the town, and I see two people on horseback who were passing each other. One was pulling a wagon of their camping/home stuff and the other was leading another horse that had a dead deer stowed on it.

- I'm thinking I can rob them, but I don't want my morality meter to go down. I have no choice though; it was starting to get dark and the game wasn't about to catch me in the wilderness, at night, without a horse :francis:

- I greet both, let the guy pulling the cart pass a good distance, walk up to the horse with the deer on it, take off the deer, toss it on the ground, hop on and ride off. No dip in morality and no robbery reported

- I ride to town, get the revival, go back and revive my horse . I guess I'll sell the extra horse now for the money since I only have $18 to my name

I love this game:wow:

Yeah fair enough but like I also said in my post if we're talking JM from RDR1 vs Arthur then it's pretty neck and and neck. But I'd still edge it to Arthur because overall playing as him was a better experience for me.

Marston was just a man on a mission to get his family back where as Arthur actually felt like someone who was eager to explore the great outdoors, hunt and do all the other shyt in between. Overall I just felt he was more of an alpha male.

I don’t remember caring much about the switch to Jack. I’m not even excited to explore the world with John now :wow:

Anyone got any tips on finding a perfect Moose pelt?

They're super fukking rare and on the rarest of occasions of them popping up they're only 2 star pelts.

getting the legendary buck gets the trinket which helps you get higher quality pelts

gonna go after the ghost bison next...that jacket you get for it :wow:

This method worked for me

Come to this location at night and go to the middle of the ice lake and make a save now put a few bits of Herbivore Bait down and then retreat far enough away and turn back round animals will spawn here if there is no moose just load your game and repeat.

I agree John in the epilogue > John in the main story

Arthur did have some good developmemt but at the end of the day, he was just a guy that did whatever Dutch told him to do. Even when he got hip to how crazy Dutch was, he still did little thinking on his own. Im not a big fan of that
they all did what's your point ? you forget dutch basically raised him/john even when they got hip to how crazy he was u see they aint even wanna kill em...even john at one point said "i love dutch" arthur never said that...and even the first RDR at the end john didnt kill dutch that nikka just jumped off the cliff
