@wtfyomom excellent point about there not being any other outlets like RT early on. He definitely did start out as a trailblazer even though I’ve always been rather weary of fake white liberals.

Plus truth be told, Democracy Now and Al Jazeera been around long enough to where we’ve had other options for better news/commentary for a minute now. Now he’s completely obsolete because of all these other sources. AND they’re better than him.

Personally tho, I won’t be satisfied until we get a Real Time/Young Turks type show for Black/Brown people. We really need an outlet like this for our people.

Yeah I agree, I thought he was lefty until I heard real lefties consistently. He would have real ones on like Ralph Nader and Cornell West but I remember specifically him having a segment where he and Michael Moore I think begged Nader not to run again. So he was always an establishment hack I just didn't know any better at the time.
Stopped watching like 5, 6 years ago. The Islamaphobia was just over the top.

Bill Maher was always more of a Libertarian to me. He reminds of so many Libertarian White dudes.

Totally agree. Moreover, I think doing on our terms will also make it unique to our people and give it the type of life that a lot of these mainstream outlets hope to get but often fail to fully extract because of their often restrictive practices.

Strange. Trevor Noah is basically the reason why I DON'T watch The Daily Show anymore. I just about never missed an episode when Stewart was the host. Trevor is just not funny. Not even remotely. I don't know if it's just a bad team of writers or what, but the show completely sucks now. And their newer correspondents for the most part fit the same bill.

Even though I like him sonning White folks on Reparations, I thought it was just me. I can't get into him completely.
