I fukking hate Bari Weiss. Last time I saw her on that show was fresh after the Pittsburgh synagogue massacre and she used the outpouring of grief and sympathy for the victims to start railing against antisemitism from the left. Like these right wing nuts who kill Jews are taking their cues from Ilhan Omar or Noam Chomsky.
That bytch wrote that stupid “IDW” piece defending a bunch of fascists and has the nerve to try and call anyone out for hate.

I agree with this. I've been watching Bill since the late 90s when I was in high school. The show format is good, although the audience gets fukking annoying at times. But it is loosing its luster. The guests quite frankly borderline suck, and I think Bill is loosing his connection with the left.
He's been pissing me off saying stupid shyt like we need a recession to get Trump out of here, and we'll be fine going through a recession because we've had 30 of them or some shyt since we've been a country. If that doesn't scream out of touch elitist, I don't know what does.

The network removed any teeth the show had left the instant Stewart was out. They don't like having a left leaning show.

I just watch Maher for the first time in about a month last weekend and yeah, I have to agree. shyt is terrible.
I kind of agreed with him when I said all the progressive vs establishment Democrat infighting, just ahead of a damn national election, is no good. I even agreed that the progressive Democrats, as much as I do support them and their policies, should sit back and learn Congrss before they try to change the party. I agreed they are not showing the same maturity in accomplishing their goals as their older counterparts and that the in-fighting is only helping Trump, not minorities or the working class.
But to now equate Omar and the squad with right wing white supremacist mass killers and terrorists for criticizing Israel policy towards Palestinians is Fox News, Trumpian level bullshytting, smearing, and deflecting.
Maher is a case study of how even "liberal" white men can be easily manipulated into the right wing once their egos and overall sense of superiority is challenged. A case study of how race takes precedence over policy, ideology, and everything else in the minds of white voters once they feel threatened in anyway.
Maher was all cool being Democrat when the face and minds of the party were mostly "good" white men in suits and being liberal was all about shytting on Bush, shytting on Bible thumpers, and being an edgy pot head. Now that the face and minds of the party is becoming young minorities speaking out against white supremacy, white power, human rights violations, and civil rights violations by white men--and doing so with serious conviction not just to gain an audience--now hes annoyed with these kids and wants out. He's becoming like every other sensitive white man who now perceives the Democrat party as "anti-white" once young folks with greater ideals, taking on white supremacy and complicit fake liberal white people like Maher join the party.

I think the best way to put it is that the Bill Maher show is a great & funny political show with a great format but is hosted by a knowledgeable but often dumb host and the show's guest are all establishment or wealthy politicians at least 90% of the time.
