Started watching this weeks episode and fell asleep
Noah is a funny dude, but I think he kind of looks at U.S politics without much passion.
He looks at it with detached bemusement.
John Oliver should have been the rightful heir. You need an angry tone to convey the ridiculousness of what is going on.
I also think he got away from calling out the hypocrisy in the media.
He was railing on white liberals this week. Even claimed to have a black friend

Bill Maher is a right winger disguised as a limousine liberal and he always has been. He used to be considered hip in the 90s and early 2000s but this new wave of more left leaning Democrats think he's the old man yelling from the window if his Mercedes Benz and now he simply looks out of touch.

He's locked in on the "safe spaces" narrative, that so many people run with. Like everything, or most things, there are examples of hyper sensitivity, but why is this such a bad thing in normal doses? Why can't we be more sensitive and compassionate towards people? Partly why I have no interest in Chapelle anymore. Comedians are entitled to their stances, and people am entitled not to watch, and criticize, regardless of the size of their platform.
