I don’t see what’s wrong with Bill Maher. A lot of the far left woke bullshyt is nonsense. Defund the police, all the transgender bullshyt, green new deal, calling everything racist, censorship and cancel culture. It’s all insanity unless you’re in the cult of the insanity far left safe space bubble.

Last night yet another example of Bill Maher being a shythead.

This week Maher sat down with the Paradise City actress on his new podcast series Club Random, in which they discussed Thorne’s new cannabis brand Forbidden Flowers. Thorne shared that her inspiration behind creating the line came from how cannabis use helped her with her severe stomach issues and “crippling anxiety.”

The comment struck a nerve with Maher, who questioned what youth of today, who are currently living through a pandemic, have to be anxious about. He then questioned how informed Gen Z was about today’s issues.

“I find this to be a disingenuous argument because your generation doesn’t know what’s going on in the world,” he said. “So how can you be that f***ing concerned about what’s going on in the world? I know what’s going on in the world, I should have the anxiety. I follow it. You kids don’t follow it. You don’t know what the f*** is going on in the world. What are you upset about?”

After Thorne pushed back, sharing that there's a lot of "bad" in the world that this generation is witnessing both in the news and on social media, Maher added, "I think a lot of the people who are the most anxious have the most privileged lives. Look at your life! Everybody wants it.”

Later on, Maher suggested that the younger generation was so focused on their own mental health they couldn't be informed about the real problems of the world. Thorne called his viewpoint a "narrow" one.

“Everyone really has their trauma. What’s happening in Ukraine is unspeakable — that is something else," the former Disney Channel star said. "But as far as trauma for every human being, I lost my dad when I was 8. I was molested growing up."

He's an old man yelling at clouds at this point.

"I know nothing about your life but you're young so I'm sure I'm better than you, you're surely ignorant and sheltered, snowflake!!!!"

Maher is turning into the worst. Damn near every single thing he says is wrong. Today's youth are more plugged into worldly events and politics than any previous generation. Even more so than Millenials and older Gen-Z members.

So ridiculous Maher talks about privilege, when he's been a white male millionaire in Hollywood forever.

I really hate his takes on millenials and Gen-Z. We've fought in our nation's 2 longest wars. We've been through 2 recessions and a once in a century pandemic. We make up most of the work force, work more than previous generations, and are the first generation predicted to fair worse financially than previous generations.

Like, the fukk does Bill Maher want from younger folks? The piece he did on younger people making money on youtube and the internet was really bad, too. He had this idea that you shouldn't be allowed to enjoy life until after you retire. The irony is he turned his own passion into a way to make money for himself, and there's no substantial difference between what he's doing and what people making money with podcasts and youtube audiences are doing. He's just bigger on backed by HBO.

Bill Maher is a walking OK Boomer meme.

Tagging @Rhakim if he wants to add anything, but 90% of the people whining about stupid culture war bullshyt are people on the right like Ben Shaprio, Dave Rubin, Stephen Crowder, etc) that never shut the fukk up about it, and go digging through fairly minor stories and prop them up like they're happening all over the country.

The reason they prop this culture war bullshyt up and keep it front and center is because the right has no substantive ideas or policy positions to improve anyone's lives. They have no good ideas, and so they just talk about nonsense that keeps people on the right angry and fired up and the idea that they're losing their nation of white, male, Christian, conservative dominated culture.

So they never shut the fukk up about culture war stuff (that they strawman and don't even accurately portray).

It's like he's just lazily parroting whatever he heard old people tell him when he was young. Except it's even less true now than it was then due to the internet. Whatever may be lacking in depth of knowledge, there is certainly no lack in amount of information or # of devastating global events to have one's mind on.

Just off of Ukraine, pandemic, inflation, Trump, political divisiveness, climate change, indebtedness, wealth gap, all of which is shyt that is OBVIOUS to every fukking young person. Then you get into the toxicity of social media, then the fact that Bella herself was orphaned at 8 and is a survivor of childhood physical and sexual abuse....how could you be more of an idiot telling her she had no reason to be anxious or depressed?

I could def understand where he's coming from like that
Honestly I consider Maher to be a Neolib, so that's not a compliment.
But this here what he said is very far from Neoliberalism.

What's so wrong with what he said? He shared a very VALID opinion, it's okay if you disagree.
But what's the issue here?

He's saying young people have nothing to be anxious about because they "don't know what’s going on in the world". That's not an opinion, that's just fukking ignorant. Young people are getting a constant news feed, they are hyper-aware of a lot of bad things going on in the world whether it's racism against Black folk, Covid, hatred of immigrants, Trump and other republican bullshyt, climate change, war in Ukraine. Claiming that young people aren't aware of bad things happening in the world isn't a "valid opinion", it's just blatantly wrong.

Then what he said to Bella was even more ignorant, acting like she can't have any inner struggles because "I think a lot of the people who are the most anxious have the most privileged lives. Look at your life!". Her dad died when she was just 8 years old and she then was physically and sexually abused! How the fukk are you going to tell her that she doesn't deserve to have inner struggles, especially when you're an old white wealthy male Hollywood celebrity?

That's just pure bullshyt.

I always thought Maher was intellectually lazy at times but he's just a full-on dikkhead now
