I always thought Maher was intellectually lazy at times but he's just a full-on dikkhead now

Maher has always been a conservative. This is the dude that supported John McCain in 2000, which was the height of Maher being counterculture. His take on the terrorists the next year was his peak.

I said it on here before but there isn’t that much of a difference between him and Joe Rogan, except an Ivy League degree.

Like people already pointed out Bill Maher was always a conservative. And he's just following the normal blueprint of an old, washed up comedian blaming progressivism for his decline. The irony of his new "anti-woke and anti-virtue signaling" crusade is that the thing that had allowed him to remain relevant these last 20 years was neo-liberal virtue signaling.

Maybe he was funny in the 80s but he has been a mediocre comedian for over 20 years. Maher is a stand up comedian whose closing bit in one of his comedy specials was donating $1 million to Obama's campaign :gucci:

Back when I paid attention to his show he would always lecture his studio audience for not laughing at some of his jokes like jokes were too edgy for mainstream and not just trash. I remember him making a dikk Cheney heart joke around 5 years after it was relevant and then calling out his studio audience for not reacting to it :dead:

Now he can claim his shytty comedy is being panned because extreme lefties can't handle it and not because it's trash. Look at this shyt he just put out :mjlol:

Ding ding ding.

They do have a stylistic difference. Maher actually controls the narrative when his guests are on by shutting down shyt he doesn't agree with. Rogan isn't confident enough to do that, so he controls the narrative via who he invites on in the first place.

But the outcome is the same.

He pressures his audience into laughing at his jokes. Then I find out he plants his writers in the audience to cheer and laugh loudly as a way of leading the crowd. That’s some Lame ass shyt.

Maher on why he's glad Musk took over Twitter:

“I’d much rather have Elon Musk making the rules than some 23-year-old."

I wonder - did he have any sort of logical defense for that position or did he just state something and expect a fawning audience to agree?
its wild...cause 20 year olds CREATED twitter. He's a dumbass.

Don't let op fool you, he's always been a Maher Stan for the sole purpose of hating Muslims and being Indian:francis:

And yes, the average American does find Islam more repulsive the more they learn about. Most Americans didn't know shyt about Islam before 911, and outside of the bigots, reasonable folks were willing to consider it is a peaceful religion. Then the more they learned about it, they discovered that it was founded by a war mongering illiterate pedophile and it's holy book is chock full of dehumanizing, violent, and hateful rhetoric about non-Muslims they saw that it is obviously not a peaceful religion.

Defending Mahers racism against Muslims

The sad thing is most of the Muslims here, or at least the most outspoken ones, seem to confirm and reinforce every negative stereotype and generalization people make about Muslims. I think a lot of Americans who didn't know much about Islam were willing to go with Bush's "Islam is a peaceful religion" statement off face value, and the more people learned about Islam and the actions and thoughts of those who follow it, they concluded otherwise. They talked about this on real time with Bill Maher last night.

Lying and saying he's not Jewish

:what: No he doesn't. He does dikkride Israel, but he doesn't believe in God and is an atheist. He's always been very clear about that.

I conclude op is a back tracking fake moral high ground holding fakkit .. That is all.

Bill Maher has been shytting on young people ever since he put himself on that summer jam screen with the “I’m a house ******” joke.

Young progressives are now his number one target even though they don’t pose any real threat to society aside from annoying people with virtual signaling. Meanwhile, he often ignores the teal threat posed by the rise of Trumpism and the right wing in this country.

Yep. That was the moment he realized he couldn't get away with anything.

Ice Cube came on and checked him and he ain't been right since.

The outcome is the same and they have the same positions.

Maher is able to control the narrative because he is an Ivy League douchebag, whereas Rogan had the working class white man douchebag esthetic, but they are the same person imo.
