I always had a feeling that Brazil getting the WC and the Olympics was like they wanted to show the world that they had arrived on the stage of big nations, and somewhat felt they were moving too fast. I've never been to Brazil but something told me they were growing too fast and it was an appearance, the issues surrounding the WC and this now historic collapse feel that way now.

Anyway when taking into account all the historical ramifications, the fact that Brazil basically is futbol, I can't imagine anything similar. Strictly on the field/court though, the way the Heat got dismantled this year is kind of close imo. Hell even how the Lakers got exposed by Dallas in 2011. But it doesn't come close when taking all the rest into account.
Pretend like BRIC really is that shyt, brehs :troll:

I don't get why you guys are celebrating this loss. Brazil is part of BRICS and its economy is (or was?) on the rise. The financial loss of funding the world cup could be devastating.

I doubt were gonna see walmarts poppin up in Brazil now that they lost. Pretty harsh comparing 9/11 to a loss in the world cup, home turf or not

ill assume germany wins the cup, as they are the favorite now. in my lifetime in the world cup they will have 2 titles, 3 runner ups, and 2 3rd place finishes. brazil has 2 titles and 1 runner up in the same time frame. but brazil is the powerhouse club? :what:who is more consistently solid than germany?

Between the late 90 and early 00s Germany wasn't good. They were an aging squad that lack pace and attack, relying on set pieces. They were knock out in 1998 by Croatia 3-0. Then lost all of their group stage games in Euro 2000. Afterwards, Germans decided to focus on youth academies and now you see the end result. A younger, more efficient, technical, and superior athletic Germany.

They already stupidly decided to take on the Cup and the Olympics within a couple years of each other. Win or lose (in hilarious destructive fashion :mjlol:) they were always fukked.
