Honestly though, this might have been the best thing to happen to the Brazilian people and the future of that country.

How so breh? I understand that if Brazil wins the cup, in the minds of some that would have justified any wrong that the Brazil higher-ups did to bring the cup there.

But I don't see how the loss will be a catalyst for change. Perhaps I'm failing to connect a dot elsewhere.

It's the craziest loss I've ever seen watching football. They hadn't lost a competitive game in nearly 40 years on Brazilian soil. So for that too happen in that manner no matter injuries was incredible.

I don't get why you guys are celebrating this loss. Brazil is part of BRICS and its economy is (or was?) on the rise. The financial loss of funding the world cup could be devastating.

Imagine emptying out your potential life savings to get fly, then kicking all the tenants out of your rental home just because you had a bish come over that you thought was going to change your life, only for her to bounce after leaving you with STDs. <<<<This is the equivalent of what just happened to Brasil. They might have erased about 5 years of GDP growth with this sh*t, and they STILL have to build for the Olympics :dead:

- Brazilians love their soccer as we all know. More than any other country loves anything.
- It's a home game.
- They fukked their economy just to host the WC. Jacked up public transportation and gas costs, cut education and health care spending, displaced thousands of Brazilians living in favelas, rushed building much of the infrastructure needed to host it, and ignored the protests of millions of unhappy Brazilians.
- The last time they hosted the WC they lost 1-0 in the final and they've been waiting 64 years to host it again and win on home soil.
- They got their backs blown out.
- It's a legacy-changing loss. Everything, how they play the game, how they coach the game, how they develop their young players, will have to change.

I can't think of any L that compares to this. Shoutout to @AkaDemiK .
They don't need to change how they play the game, coach the game, develop young players, or anything really. Neymar got injured, that loss got in their heads. No one plans for your superstar player to get injured. They probably need to get a sports psychologist though. The rest of the team were the same players who got them to the semi finals. That team was loaded with good players. They all went "Dwayne Wade" from the git go versus Germany (nothing personal against Dwayne Wade :lolbron: ).

Uruguay was doing well until Biteman got suspended. Team was not performing at the same level afterwards.

Rich get richer. Poor get poorer. Businesses made money with all the world cup tourists.
When they leave, it's gonna be Beijing Olympics Part II. Empty Olympic-quality stadiums that remain empty and cannot pay to be maintained and they cannot pay to be demolished.

This is highway robbery to the nth degree brehs. The World Cup cost what, 11 billy? Lets say all in all the businesses combined made 500 milly (and that's being RIDICULOUSLY generous) of which Brazil taxes what, 34%? so let's assume they net 150 milly more or less. They roughly invested 10x the income generated, of which all that money is to be paid by the Brazilian taxpayer, while all these businesses hit a lick. This is some Guy Fawkes revolutionary fodder type material. I can't believe the Brazilians ain't do like the French with this bullsh*t.

Those would still gave up at least 6 with Neymar playing. They miss Silva.
