Has anyone noticed that black kids and natives cluster at the bottom? Yall don't think that's a 'funny coincidence'?

This is the locker room. Critical thinking is nonexistent on here. What gets me is how these folks came to these conclusions centered around black people being inferior and all these st0rmfr0nt friendly talking points, ready to throw a how anti black are you contest over a damn graph on twitter with no damn source. :mjlol: some of these goofies arent black or they have some self hatred issues going on with being black. The clowns always telling on themselves.

This is a great point and observation obviously…but some of us are tryna figure out what black ppl can do for ourselves to even slightly move the needle…the needle needs to be moved somehow to even begin to take on those forces…and right now it’s going in the wrong direction

I find these conversations laughable, ngl. There's a huge generation of black college grads that prove that education does not automatically lead to better outcomes. You think the kids ain't watching?

Then according to the data, Black people by and large aren't good parents.
we’re centuries removed from slavery, decades from jim crow, living in an era where all manner of information that would assist with mathematical and linguistic competency is readily accessible.

my parents made sure my siblings and i had computers and bookcases filled with books. they strictly monitored our studies, making sure we completed our homework on time, reviewing it for errors, identifying what was wrong and instructing us on how to correct it.

we were encouraged to read all kinds books and play computer games that were text heavy and filled with logic puzzles.

as children we were enrolled in soccer leagues. during the summer, we went to summer camps.

our parents made sure that we were raised with an appreciation of knowledge.

as i said, only so long you can blame racism for failures that are now self-inflicted.

I'll defer to the data and conclude that you're in the minority of Black people who had good parents.

Mother fukker I lived in the suburbs in a white majority school district. We had good schools, good teachers, good facilities, good resources, and the yet still the black kids wanted to act like fools even if they had two parents at home and lived in a house.

Pointing the finger at poverty just excuses our deeply entrenched cultural issues that don't value education to our detriment.

People in poor/impoverished/dysfunctional areas have worse education !!!for a variety of reasons!!! and unfortunately a lot of us live in those locations.

When momma and daddy don't read, the kids won't read either.

:francis:

how many hours do these parents work ? how much time is spent on them commuting to work? how much time and money do they have to spend on reading?

yes you can be poor and tired and still enjoy literature but it's not always easy for a lot of people nor is the habit developed when their parents didn't have the same traditions or instill that practice for various reasons.

theres something deeper going on.

It is definitely hard but you had the kid it comes with it. Your sole purpose should be to produce a good adult. I have 11+ hr days all the time but I still make the time to sit with my daughter and help her with her homework. If I don't take her getting it done seriously even with other stuff going on how can she understand to take it seriously. Lead by example

There are definitely affluent African Americans/Black folks in general who do not associate with or occupy the same spaces as “less privileged” Black folks.

Neighborhoods, private schools, extracurricular programs, churches, etc.

The casual social scene and events, yes obviously, but you can separate pretty easily if you wish.
So it's nothing new.

Don’t wanna sound like a c00n but the black community in general doesn’t prioritize education.

Also we love trends and what’s cool and being smart/education/reading has never been cool.

In a couple generations the divide between educated and uneducated black people is gonna be huge and I feel like it’s gonna lead to a lot of internal problems

The black kids who grew up reading, mom a social worker, dad an accountant or some shyt, in college for engineering or whatever… other than being black what are they really gonna have in common with their less educated peers in the future? :hubie:
Nothing

The shows/movies they watch are probably gonna be different, and their folks are probably gonna have them listening to different music. They’re gonna be in different activities too. Let’s just be fr

The fully assimilateds and the lesser assimilates.

Both equally as useless as a basketball helmet when it comes to being a tool to stop white supremacy. The only line that will matter is the line drawn between the righteous and unrighteous. As well as those who leave the country, and those who choose Babylon. If you choose Babylon, whether educated or ignant, You are still a battery for white supremacy, and two sides of the same assimilated coin.

To be happily G.M.O'd people,or non G.M.O. Choose wisely. There will barely be a "black" prople in this country by 2060. The majority of the population will be biracialized twice over. There will be a movement to rename themselves "Octaroonians" rather than "black" in order to leave the past behind:respect:
