Okay so basically it was Allllll drawn out, you are right. Last night we finally got to see the culmination of events with Abby's death....
Basically, Abby was having auditory and visual hallucinations. They found out it was cancer. She went through treatment. They tried to get her into a trial but she didn't make the cut. Ray found someone through Avi who got him the meningitis strain and used it on the kid so Abby could get into the trial, but while ray was away doing all that, Abby went to the opening of their new restaurant and told the family bye (without them realizing). Bridgette and Terri took her home and helped her crush up suicide pills and she died in bed. Ray got a call from the trial People on his flight back saying a spot opening up and he was in a good mood on his way home to tell Abby, but when he got home Bridgette was crying and he found Abby dead in their bed. He freaked out on Beidgette then went to the new restaurant (named Abby's) where his family was. He went off on Bridgette again and pushed her against the wall yelling at her scaring her asking her why did she do it, that he had it under control and Mickey stepped in between them and told ray "you weren't there". This set ray off and he hit mick over the head with a bottle and got super violent. And bunchey and everyone jumped in. Bridgette called the cops (whixh is what they were talking about when ray was in anger management at the beginning of the season).
That was mostly last nights episode.
Everything in the other episodes was basically all flashback leading up to that ending with subplots in between....
The actress ray and Abby almost hit is now staying at rays apartment because the showrunner knocked her up and wants her to get an abortion and she refuses and all kind of useless drama with that. Ray I guess is trying to save her...even though a flashback shows he screwed her when Abby and the kids were playing cards and he took the dog for a walk.
Bunchy decided to invest in a storage facility and took over a million dollars cash with him to get a cashiers check to pay for the business. He stopped to get a sandwich first and got robbed at the sub shop and money stolen. Cops didn't believe hat he had that much money in him and laughed.
Meanwhile, the crooked cop wants mick to kill avi bc avi is now an addict and off the rails and knows too much. Long story short and a bunch of nonsense in between, mik refuses to kill avi so the crooked cop arrests bunchie and throws him in jail for the quadruple murder of previois season.
Mik has no choice but to tell ray. Ray goes nuts and makes a deal with cop to kill avi but says under two conditions, he has to let bunxhie out and he wants mik to go down for the murders instead and be locked away. Well ray chickens out and can't kill avi last minute so he gets his Hollywood friends to make it look like he shot and killed avi and they send him out of the country.
Bunchy gets released but not before meeting one if he guys in prison who robbed him at the subway shop. The guy apparently didn't know about the money because the guys friend took it so they exchange names and bunchy is shown trying to bail him out to get the money back apparently.
So dirty cop calls mick to set him up, but the half brother goes with mick and wasn't supposed to. He tries to arrest mick and Darryl freaks out and shoots the dirty cop dead. He is the head of the LA FBI so they are in deep shyt with that.
There's also in the mix, the Susan Surandan character who had some Man who was blackmailing her killed but overall that storyline is whack
Now the Abby is dead and we know how the open ends are:
Bridgette being friends with the kid who got kicked out the trial
Terry just told ray he helped Abby did and ray knocked him out
Mik and Darryl just killed FBI director
Mik and Darryl are working on a movie script by blackmailing the guy the helped cover up the ninja murder from early episode
No one gives a shyt about Bridgette's brother who's off at military school
Susan Sarandon lady is dangerous but we don't know what she's planning
Slutty actress is playing House with ray
Bunchy and jail friend are going to try to find his money
Avi is in Colombia
Somewhere thrown in there Terry's wife left and he randomly is coaching the kid but no valid storyline whatsoever there
We still don't know who the hell is watching bunchy's kid unless she's been at daycare for weeks now.
And basically this long ass discombobulated explanation with misspelled names I couldn't bother to correct from mobile is more put together then the actual Show.

They're definitely trying to make up for lost time for the slow ass first half of the season.
Ray isn't done working for Susan Sarandon's character (why am I forgetting her name?). She's either gonna dig and use Barnes' death to blackmail him back in, or a get out of jail card for Bridget. Or maybe Landry will be able to do it to kill her and take the whole studio for himself
