:what:

yall nikkaz still on this stupid shyt ….
It’s damn near 2024

every nikka I briefly spoke to or text to wish dem & their fam -happy holidays- was watching the NFL

Most Black people I know rock with both the NBA and NFL. They may prefer one over the other, but I don’t know too many that just straight up don’t watch

At my job I work with a team of cacs from all over the country. None of them watch the NBA. They all live and die by the NFL

So I think OP’s point wasn’t “Black Americans don’t like the NFL like that”, it was more of “White Americans don’t like the NBA like that”

But obviously there’s other things at play beyond just race

Think it was more about taking advantage of Christmas landing on one of their regular gamedays (THU-MON). Christmas 2024 is on a Wednesday, Silver will get to breathe for a year

I thought so too but

2020 Covid season had games that had to be rescheduled for a Tuesday and a Wednesday on short notice due to covid results.

They have a couple months to figure this out if they really want to go for it.

We could see something like a Fri/Wed split or a Wednesday/Monday split for the teams involved.

Never seen an NBA player crying about what NFL players get during free agency.
And with the next tv deal NFL players feelings will get hurt again. Jaylen Brown 300 million dollar deal won’t even be a top 20 contract in 3 years.

:mjcry: NFL players still hoping for a guaranteed contract

If the NFL really wants games on that Wednesday, they’ll figure out a way to make it happen.
These people underestimate the NFL and its thirst for money. They said the NFL can't play on 2 days rest from Sunday to Wednesday. How about if those teams played on Saturday then Wednesday? Y'all act like the NFL isn't the greediest sports entity we ever seen. If there is a way to make more money, the NFL will find it even if it includes paying Taylor Swift to watch a game on Christmas for the female market while that same game is being shown on Nickelodeon to bring in the kids demographic.

There are many more NFL players than NBA players. Top NFL non RBs aren’t complaining. It’s really that the NFL has no middle class.

The NFL generated 18 billion dollars in revenue. I’m not trying to hear about no middle class. Having more players doesn’t negate contract guarantees or force the dreaded franchise tag that’s just greedy
