its really quite hilarious that in 2019, miami dade and south beach do not have a functional public transportation system, let alone one connecting mainland to south beach (by design). they shouldve been had a disney type monorail from downtown to south beach.
you can that about a lot of places in the U.S., outside the east coast public transportation is abysmal or looked as something only poor people use

Bruh I been to cities out west that have a far better public transportation system, the Denver public system shytS on Miami public transportation. They haven’t even extended the metro rail lmaooo but gave Brightline a 80 million check for a stop in Aventura and no lol everyone uses public transportation in most cities whether it’s bus, rail/train or ferry, only Miami has that stigma that only poor people use public transportation lol

I haven't seen that in the midwest outside of Chicago AND LA has horrid public transportation
Lawmakers won't enact bills or funding for rail, airline and gas/oil companies lobby candidates so hard not to divert funding towards rail. Also Brightline is being extended to Tampa and Orlando, don't know that much about miami that I can support the aventura stop but it appears this rail line is only for major cities, not just in Miami proper, that's another conversation.

Chicago has the L system which shyts on the metrorail.

Miami dade county cut a $70 million check to Brightline to build a stop in Aventura but couldn’t come up with funds to extend metro rail, Miami government is a joke family.

Brightline gets $76 million station in Aventura

Too much corrupt government politics for the public transportation to be better. Hopefully they do get to extend the monorail and all that, just gonna be a burden on y'all taxpayers. Too much issues with that. And that brightline seems to cause an accident or death every other week. Last I heard they were trying to extend it all the way to Disney. Most of the metro and monorail in the downtown Miami area so the rest of us definitely need a car to get around.

Here's an article I was just reading that made me think of this thread and why Miami isn't really as highly ranked as it seems it should be.

Here's what $3,000 a month in rent will get you in 13 major US cities

It basically shows what 3k in rent would get you in most major cities. All have been ranked on here. Some higher than Miami, some lower. Some places get you more for your rent, some get you less. But no place has as low a median household income than Miami at 33k. I think closest was one of the Texas ones at like 45k. So at 3k a month for 12 months that's 36k and Miami is the only city under that base level. Granted there are cheaper spots than 3k but it's crazy to think that it's got the lowest household income and gives you as much as cities with double the income. Guess you're paying for the beach and weather, whenever that's actually decent. :francis:

Yeah its ok, nothing special. Check these guys out when you come down, Your home page title some bomb ass egg rolls. Lots of clubs and spots. The hard rock hotel just had an upgraded and opened fairly recently. They got two nightclubs in there I think. Plus the casino and bars. Downtown Fort Lauderdale is nearby also. Its like a strip with bars and clubs and random food spots. Just make sure you have a car or someone who does cuz its needed.
