Jay z

The thought of all those beats that were wasted on that nikka instead of someone like method man :mjcry:

All the below and add Drake

Obviously I get why they're hyped, but they all seemed overhyped to me. Like they could have been just great rappers rather than people calling them the greatest rappers of their generation, but it seemed like they all got a commercial/collaboration push that made them into more than they were.

Beastie boys

Beastie Boys
Just a Jewish ripoff of Run DMC.

People always bring up their name like they built Hip Hop or something, when they were literally the first culture vultures.:mjlol:

They were a Punk band that basically flopped, then they saw Hip Hop and how it was building a new lane, and immediately jumped on it and ran with it. :scusthov:

Beastie Boys

Beastie Boys - Once you get past the gimmick of them being the first white rappers in a black space, you soon realize that even by mid 80's standards they were weak rappers with annoying voices

I don't know how anyone fails to realize that on the first listen. :scust:

This is the most polished they got and it still sounds like some shyt you'd hear at a college open mic night in the 1990s where you're just desperately hoping it would end soon.

Boosie. He cool but I always thought Webbie was the better artist
Sounds like you don’t really listen to Boosie. Before prison, dude made a lot of songs with unlimited subject matter. Yeah Webbie flow harder than Boosie, but be for real that dude is one dimensional with his subject matter.

Jadakiss - bar the Beans battle i never bought into the Jada bandwagon. To me Styles>Jada by a rather large margin.
Sean Price - to me there are two versions of Tawl Sean; Ruck/Sean P and Sean Price. I way prefer the former. Ruck seemed way more technically astute with wit to Price who felt like he was just relying on wit in his new style.
Goodie Mob - should have been Ceelo and Gipp. The other nikkas fukked up the flow.
