Without Nirvana I probably wouldn't have gotten into Rock music at all.

One night in JHS when Flex was being particularly annoying I switched over to K Rock (92.3 in NYC back in the day) and for some reason it all clicked.

The Box (music television YOU control) and MTV subliminally played a part but for some reason that evening was different.

J/k

To each his own

Soundgarden
AIC
Pearl Jam
STP
Nirvana

I like a softer / more melodic sound

I hardly like grunge

Nirvana is peak grunge for me.

I was going to cross out Stone Temple Pilots and put in the Stone Roses

I like 90’s bands like The Verve, Oasis, of course Radiohead etc.

I can list a lot more

Those hardcore funeral songs are not for me personally

The Box was a great source for music you never heard of, I remember they used to play Garbage (the band) all the time.

Watching this as a kid I thought it was wack, but I grew to like soft rock. And then years later finding out that the drummer in Garbage was Butch Vig, producer of Nirvana's Nevermind album and Smashing Pumpkins Siamese Dream.

:wow:
