Yeah Ayton is on cruise control with 14 pts and 6 rebs

Plus the effort is clearly not there this season :francis:

At this point, I've given up on Ayton being a star. He's a good nba starter and he will step up once in a while, but he's one of those players you have to keep pushing to motivate him. When Chris Paul and Cam Johnson got injured, you would think Ayton would take advantage of having more shots, but he doesn't care. Same basic numbers.

When Ayton's allowed to be traded (January 15th), I expect the trade talks to pick up again. The Suns don't want to pay 30 million a year for a center when the luxary tax is getting high. They only matched his contract because they didn't want to lose him for nothing.

They could use his defensive versatility. The Celtics targeted Allen relentlessly in the playoffs.
yea, but middleton was out and lopez still wasn't fully healthy. i think that series is being overblown considering that almost everyone on their team sucked that series outside of giannis. george hill was a larger problem which also speaks to budenholzer being dumb for playing him. even without their full complement of players, the bucks currently have the #1 defense and allen actually has the #1 defensive rating and top 5 net rating in the entire nba. i think it's dumb to consider trading him this early in the season when they don't even know how their team can look when fully healthy. he's the exact player that makes life easier for giannis on the offensive end.

Have you seen the defensive rating leaders? It's 4 Milwaukee players in the top 10 (including Allen). I would say that defensive rating is more so a product of Jrue, Lopez and Giannis rather than Allen being an elite defensive player of that nature.

Teams will hunt both Allen and Portis off the floor come playoff, which is where someone like Crowder could help.

Fair enough points, just premature IMO.
