Wall wants to be a main option, and won't accept anything less, whereas the Rockets are only prepared to give him a complementary role (à la Kevin Love).
Everybody ignores this. Wall wants to be the man. We don’t have one player dominating the ball. He doesn’t want to play a complimentary role like Eric Gordon. It’s nothin wrong with it, but Wall still views himself as a franchise player.

Houston tried last year to play Wall in the starting lineup with KPJ as a bridge and it failed miserably. Wall didn’t even utilize Wood in the pick n roll like that. Dude actually asked management for a roll big:martin:

According to who :mjlol:

The majority of the reporting about him has been incorrect. Original reports are saying that they were both on board with him sitting out the season, but now we see that just isn't the case. Even if it was true, there's nothing stopping Houston from trotting him out there and playing 15 minutes per game and pulling him anytime they want.

That's cool and all, but there's no valid excuse as to why they can't trot him out there for 15-20 minutes per game :unimpressed:

According to who? You?

:usure:
Houston Rockets guard John Wall met with general manager Rafael Stone and coach Stephen Silas on Sunday to reiterate his desire to return to the lineup in a feature role -- an idea that team officials continue to be reluctant to accept in a possible return to play, sources told ESPN.

The Rockets have wanted Wall to accept a complementary role to its young players to play on this team, and the five-time All-Star guard's unwillingness to do so continues to be a hurdle for the sides in a possible return to play this season, sources said.

Sources: Wall, Rockets brass meet about return

I'm more inclined to believe the words of Woj, who has legitimate sources at the Rockets (after all, he was the one who broke the news about Stone being promoted), than some nxgga on an anonymous msgboard who's being intentionally vague about the whole thing.

You mean the same Woj that has been giving conflicting information about Dame's future in Portland :usure:

Let's not sit here and pretend as if teams and players aren't using Woj and Shams to do their bidding and reporting.

It's not even remotely the same thing.

What does Dame's situation in Portland have to do with Wall's in Houston?

Woj reported on an actual meeting that took place between Wall and the Rockets GM, whereas he was merely putting two and two together that because Dame wants to stay in Portland, he's going to want an extension, and that there may be some uncertainty over if he's worth it. Two different organizations, and two completely different scenarios. I mean, what Woj reports that is based upon his opinion/view has come unstuck in the past, but there's no reason not to believe that this meeting didn't take place and that wasn't the crux of the conversation.

You're making out like you have actual evidence that what is being said about Wall is "incorrect". Do you have proof, or are you just throwing shyt at the wall?

:gucci:
Nigguh the excuse is he said no to that idea. What part of “he wants to start and run the show” do you not understand?

One thing Silas annoyingly does is finds minutes for his vets. God knows he’ll sacrifice a rookie development for them damn vets. Word to Sengun and Christopher who probably won’t 20 minutes played again until April.
Wall wants a feature role, not complimentary or secondary.

Feel like this is worded wrong because Shai and Lillard cant be on the same tier

Lillard 21.5 points on .397 FG%
SGA 21.4 points on .410 FG%
