I understand he has next to no shot to win the MVP again because of Milwaukee's playoff failures but if we were going strictly by the numbers, him and Jokic would be the front runners. I don't think he's better but his averages are better than prime LeBron and it's become ho-hum.

Harden won MVP the year after the Spurs mopped him off his home court without Kawhi. Bron won the year after the Dallas series. Shaq won after Duncan swept the Forum closed with less talent. Giannis didn't win the MVP strictly off his numbers. Nobody does. You look at the history of the league and some of the greatest statistical seasons did not get an MVP. Off top, only person I can think of that won strictly because of numbers (narrative helped too of course) was Russ. Giannis, like many MVPs, won in large part because of team success. The odds were against him to begin with because it is hard, damn near impossible to get them to vote for you 3 years in a row. Even Jordan didn't get that. Bucks would've had to come out on some 75 win shyt for him to have a shot this year.
