I understand he has next to no shot to win the MVP again because of Milwaukee's playoff failures but if we were going strictly by the numbers, him and Jokic would be the front runners. I don't think he's better but his averages are better than prime LeBron and it's become ho-hum.

Yup.

Giannis on some 29ppg 12rpg 6apg ish this season and got the Bucks right there with PHI BK LAL LAC PHO for 2nd best record... but the narrative is he's too flawed of a bball player to get it done in the playoffs.

In a way he's prime Shaq without a super buddy. Imagine if Giannis had a "prime Kobe" as a co-superstar.. instead of prime Nick Anderson lol. He could airball freethrows to his heart's content for all that it'd matter at the end:pachaha:

Also, and ironically, his situation is more or less a contemporary "prime Lebron".

Back-to-back MVPs, back-to-back 60-win teams (*if not for stoppage), back-to-back flame outs in the playoffs vs teams they were favored to win against. People questioning their abilities (no skill, he's just physical), questioning their mental toughness (always defers, scared to take the last shot)... all the while begging that they come to their team :dead:

He's basically if Lebron had stayed in Cleveland after 2010 instead of taking his talents elsewhere. Ironically, Lebron himself is now in the 2010 Kobe role.

Giannis is just a glorified stat box.If he actually won a chip, the NBA would hitch the wagon to him completely. They'd give him 3 MVP's in a row.

Instead, everybody know he's a dud when it comes to playoff basketball. The Bucks need a real 1st option player if they ever want to make it over

the hump.Giannis narcissistic stats won't get them to the next level.Breh's a 7 ft Russell Westbrook. In tight games down the stretch, situationally,

when you need a player that can isolate and get buckets, you can't go to him. He's a regular season novelty act.Won't ever catch me waxing poetic

about his numbers.Fools gold.

That just isn’t going to happen. At this point in time it’s obvious that it may at most be 5 of that type of player in the entire NBA to be a #1 option over Giannis. I think it would have been easiest for the bucks to bring in an upgrade over Middleton or holiday but that certainly won’t happen now since they gave up so much for jrue. I’d like to think if the bogdan trade went through they would be better off.

Giannis not being even considered for MVP shows how ridiculously flawed the voting for this award is. It's a regular season award and if he is the most important player for one of the best teams in the league, then he's got to be in consideration simple as that.
