Ayton actually performed better on the offensive end than AD did (albeit the latter is still struggling with an elbow injury): hit a # of jumpers/hook shots over him. It's just his defensive awareness leaves a lot to be desired.

defense takes longer to gel than offense. its nothing

There’s countless examples in the history that we can point to. He has the talent to be truly amazing but the greatest centers ever came in blocking shots at minimum. This guy doesn’t even try to block a shot.

Meh it's the first 12 games of his career and everybody else on the team is brand new as well, new coach all new schemes. I'm confident he will get a lot better on both ends over time and his floor is crazy.
