Over the first three games:

Warriors - 60 free-throws (dead last in FT attempts)
Opponents - 108 free-throws

Steph gets held off the ball more than any other player, and even with this emphasis on defensive contact that teams seem to be benefiting from, he's still only averaging 3.3 FTs a game.

But we still seem to have delusional, rockbrain, conspiracy theorists on here who believe in "The Agenda".

I told you before the season began that the Freedom of Movement rules could be trouble for the Warriors specifically...you know, because their entire gameplan is based around getting away with restricting the freedom of movement of other teams :skip: Illegal screens, shoving, holding, and complaining to the refs - that's how they get so many open shots and a big part of their defense as well.

Dont worry, as they continue to bytch about it I'm sure the refs will slowly return to letting them do whatever they want..
Hit dogs holler.

Layering your predisposed position (and agenda) of what you think might happen doesn't tell anyone shyt. You're just playing the same damn card(s) that allows you to hedge your bets over what you think the Warriors get away with, by throwing some generalized false talking points at the wall and seeing what sticks.

Here you are acknowledging the Warriors are in "trouble" because of how they're being officiated (they're last in free throw attempts and have been called for the third most fouls), then why have you been stating in other posts that the officials are still heavily favoring the Warriors this season, even when other [non-Warriors stans] have been stating otherwise? Posters have come out and said the Warriors have been officiated unfairly over these first few games, but you've been stating the officials have been favoring them (even co-signing other posters who said the refs are cheating FOR the Warriors this season), but now you state that the Warriors have been in "trouble" because of the officiating?

Is it Oochie Wally Wally or is it One Mic? Have the Warriors been in "trouble" because of the officiating this season, or are the officials still cheating for them this season?

The "Freedom of Movement" puts an emphasis on allowing offensive players the freedom of movement: to help offensive flow, and clamp down on defensive contact off the ball. This POE should actually favor the Warriors style of play, because very few teams in the league have as much off-ball movement as they do, yet nearly every single team is benefitting from it besides them:

Warriors lead the league in off-screen plays (17% of their total possessions; the #2 team only have 8% of their total possessions), yet they are near last in fouls drawn. If there's this emphasis on freedom of movement, why is the team who should benefit from it most, not getting the calls, and teams who run LESS off-screen plays are getting more calls in their favor on off-ball contact.

If there's this emphasis on freedom of movement, why is Steph (who arguably gets held off the ball more than any other player) only averaging 3.3 FTs a game in 37 minutes, which is around half his free-throw attempts from last season (5.9 FTs a game in 32 minutes)? The league-average free-throw attempts are 25 per game this season, which is FOUR more than last season, yet not only is Steph (and the Warriors) averaging fewer FTs than last season, but almost every other team is averaging considerably more free-throws than they did last season.

How come Steph has constantly been held, pulled, pushed off-the-ball, more than any of the player for all these years without getting a call, and yet STILL isn't getting the calls when they bring in this crackdown on "freedom of movement" that's supposed to benefit offensive players off the ball?

How is there this alleged "The Agenda" when the nucleus of their success is rag-dolled all over the court and the officials don't even bat an eyelid, even in this new state of freedom of movement?

:ohhh:

If there's this emphasis on freedom of movement, why are the Warriors (the team who run more off-ball plays than every other team) getting less foul calls in their favor than almost every team?

The Warriors opponents have only been called for 20 fouls per game, which is the 5th least in the league (to put into perspective the Wizards have been called for the most - 29 per game), you mean to tell me that even with this officiating crackdown on freedom of movement, that teams have been able to defend the Warriors (arguably the most active team at moving off the ball)
to a greater standard than teams who defend their opponents who move off-the-ball considerably less, yet those teams are getting more frequent calls in their favor on offense... or is it simply they're getting more beneficial treatment than the Warriors, like this -

To reiterate: These Points of Education should favor a team like the Warriors who run more off-ball plays than any other team, yet not only are they getting LESS calls in their favor, but teams who run LESS off-ball plays are the teams who're actually benefiting from it. Go figure.

And I know you're going to reply with bu-bu-but they're getting called for "illegal screens", and offensive fouls -- they're NOT, in fact, over these first few games the Warriors are only middle of the pack in offensive fouls. Now that's put that into perspective: the Warriors who run more off ball plays than every other team, and who only get called for offensive fouls around the league-medium, are getting LESS calls in their favor on the offensive end than almost every other team.

How is it all these teams are benefitting from the emphasis on "freedom of movement", but the team that should be benefiting from it the most isn't?

Let's take it a step further:

the Warriors opponents ranked lower in personal fouls, and the Warriors opponents were ranked higher in drawing personal fouls (in their games) in '17/'18 - 1.1 personal foul differential in favor of the Warriors opponents

the Warriors opponents ranked lower in personal fouls, and the Warriors opponents were ranked higher in drawing personal fouls (in their games) again, in '16/'17 - 0.1 personal foul differential in favor of the Warriors

the Warriors opponents ranked lower in personal fouls, and the Warriors opponents were ranked higher in drawing personal fouls (in their games), once again, in '15/'16 - 0.9 personal foul differential in favor of the Warriors opponents.

the Warriors opponents ranked lower in personal fouls, and the Warriors opponents were ranked higher in drawing personal fouls (in their games) once again, in '14/'15 - 1.1 personal foul differential in favor of the Warriors opponents.

Marinate on this: despite your claims that the Warriors have been getting MORE beneficial treatment from the officials than every other team, EVERY single season since Kerr has been coach (you know when the alleged "The Agenda" started) the Warriors opponents have ranked lower in personal fouls and the Warriors ranked higher in personal fouls, and only ONE season have the Warriors benefited from a positive personal foul differential, and that was only 0.1 per game.

All these seasons of this alleged "The Agenda", but it's the Warriors opponents who've actually benefitted from the officiating.
