IN that 5 minute span he was like hitting the trifecta of imcompetence...missed 3s,missed dunks, bad passes...

Don't forget the lazy defense after he messes up. That's always a constant.

Hard to pick one guy out on D,nobody is getting back or gives a damn on this team...never seen so many easy, uncontested shots...

Keyword: Role player.

Sure, and that's all Danny Green and Gary Neal were, yet they were damned impressive in that system when they started or came in. Lee, Pointdexter and Carter are all very good role players. Obviously Memphis's strength is in their front court with their star bigs surrounded by defensive minded spot up 3 point shooters and a star pg in the PnR. You disagree that they can go far in the playoffs with that, and that's cool. I have no stake in it.

Spurs also won because they had THREE wing stars throughout the playoffs that come through when they needed them to. Memphis' chances are all on Conley to come through, and judging by his past playoff performances, things don't look too bright. Memphis have the front-court scoring covered, ain't no doubt about that, it's what little they have behind them that's the problem.

Well, I'd say Memphis's chances of playoff success are on Gasol Conley and Zbo coming through.

But why has every team failed to get over that 'wall'? And what have those teams done to best improve their chances of getting over it? Memphis hasn't added any significant wing pieces nor has any of their role players taken their games to a new level that would warrant a suggestion that they didn't need one.

Each team has there own reasons, some of them like OKC's arguably haven't been fixed. Others, like GS may have been just due to injury or coaching philosophy.. we'll see. Also a lot of credit goes to the Spurs for coming through even when they weren't the most talented or youthful. And saying that its overstated (as if they still can't or haven't gone deep in the playoffs) isn't the same as saying having one wouldn't be nice. A healthy OKC team doesn't necessarily need a great back to the basket scorer or 3rd all star to beat GS or Mavs (like they had with Harden) but i'm sure it'd be nice if they did.
Dallas, OKC and GS either have their stars nearing their primes or/and have added enough talent to their rosters to compete.

Problem is Grizz don't have enough offensive talent to compliment their defense.

I'm pretty sure Conley and Gasol are near their primes. And Memphis has already shown they can compete with OKC. I think they have enough to go far in the playoffs or take a GS or Mavs to 7 games (in whatever round they meet). End of the day, i'm just lookin forward to watchin all the matchups in the west. And hopefully Houston, OKC and some of the other teams get their shyt together health and chemistry wise before it's all said and done.

Like you said, the only reason they ever got out of the second round was because of the Westbrook injury.

Z-Bo and Conley are probably the only players in the league who don't shyt for playing like ass in the playoffs.

Whether OKC shoulda beat Memphis if Westbrook were healthy or if Memphis shoulda beat OKC if Zack wasn't suspended :whoa:

Don't matter to me. I just like that 2 of the 3 times they met shyt went to 7 games. As a fan I was
