Brent Barry and Steve Smith skewered what the Sixers are doing in the nicest way possible.

And on that garbage heap of a team known as the Lakers, what exactly do they have to offer in return :russ:

Biyombo on the right team would be a productive player.
Lin's expiring so Charlotte has extra cap room this summer. They have a future first from Houston too.

i) It's only been 14 games
ii) When he's averaged 30+ minutes in his career his FG% drops down to 43% over the course of a season
iii) It's Courtney Lee
Courtney's a solid role player for the Grizz... just like Danny Green and Gary Neal are/were for the Spurs. At the end of the day, they still are/were Danny Green and Gary Neal, but point is they were role players who could excel in spurts within their team's system.

SA won because they have TWO perimeter stars that can create off the dribble in any situation - in which they could run the offense from. Memphis have one.
I'd say SA won b/c of some unprecedented 3 point shooting and ball movement.. but to your point, Memphis has one but they also have 2 bigs with back-to-the basket games that demand attention. And with that trio, they've been everywhere from a coin flip 7 game series with OKC (unfortunate with the zbo suspension) to a WCF appearance (fortunate with the westbrook injury). So i feel their team is more than capable of making a deep run with what they have and would be a tough out for GS or Dallas.

They're simply not. That is why this 'create off the dribble' line is not overstated/overrated. We've seen why they fail to get over that same wall they run into every playoffs.
Well, every team but san antonio has failed to get over that same wall so...
it's why i still have SAS as the favorites to get out the west.

Partly true, but youth, talent and hunger will be the ultimate factors that decide who comes outta the West this postseason.
I partly agree... as basketball iq + defense (like with the spurs) goes along way when facing youthful and talented teams, like they've shown against the GS, Clips, Portland, and OKC. Or like the Grizz have shown vs a couple of those same teams.

I ain't a Memphis fan so i'm not hell bent on defending them but i'd say right now SAS, GS, Grizz, and Mavs are the top 4 teams and I feel any combo of those matchups would end up going 7... with the exception of SAS bc of their experience/craftiness. If you disagree, cool. It'll all be answered in April/May regardless.

Like you said, the only reason they ever got out of the second round was because of the Westbrook injury.

Z-Bo and Conley are probably the only players in the league who don't shyt for playing like ass in the playoffs.
