From what I read.. there is no timetable for him to return to regular basketball activities.

He is running up and down the floor, working on basketball moves and dunking, but he is not yet playing 5 on 5 and everyone within the organization is careful not to put a projection of when to expect him to play.

While Bynum is running and dunking on the court now (but not playing 5-on-5 yet), the Cavs eased him back into it by utilizing a HydroWorx therapy pool — essentially an underwater treadmill that eases the weight on joints during rehab.

Even as a Laker fan, I'm not sure if this pairing could work. Would need a defensive big man at the 5 and defense at the backcourt position. It sounds on paper, but I highly doubt it happens though.
