Boxing OG why don't we see 52 blocks in boxing? And 2, why have boxers abandoned road work and actually lifting?
Most trainers prefer a boxer to master more traditional elements of defense.

The reason why is that "recipes" are being lost or put aside for more modern means of conditioning for better or for worse in boxing

That’s for cardio though.

RPE Scale
  • 10 — At your max, you have no more reps.
  • 9 — There’s another rep in the tank, but it’s a grind.
  • 8 — You’re beginning to hit your 2-4 rep stride.
  • 7 — Often, a weight one can move with power (5-7ish reps).
  • 6 — Weight that one can move quickly for speed work (+/- 8 reps pending on speed/training goal).
  • 5 — A weight that someone warms ups.
  • 4 & below — Light weight that can be used for mobility, recovery, and form emphasis.”

RPE for lifting refers to how many reps you have in reserve. RPE 10 for example is >95% 1RM, it’s something you could only hit for a single.

I have an over 3x bodyweight pull, have squatted over five and can still hit over 3 plates on bench. :yeshrug:
