To the wise sages of Mount #Powda I seek divine guidance. @Son Goku @Ol Man Skrenf @The ADD and #PowdaBoy excommunicado @Gully Bull I need some feedback on my squat cause I'm having some issues when the load is on my back.

Here is my squat in 3 videos from different angles, I have an opinion on what's happening, but I figure let y'all watch it before and form your own opinion without it being guided by some idea. My ideas are below the vids.

So when I'm at the top of the squat I feel like all the weight is disproportionately being held up by my right trap. The red line in this pic is how the bar "feels" on my traps. Almost as if the left trap isn't doing anything.

At the bottom of the squat my right spinal erector feels as if it is taking on the majority of the load. When I succeed at getting a good brace in it doesn't feel as one sided, but maybe cause it is already feeling extra taxed compared to the left it still feels as if it is doing more of the work.

The weight is what one would call "hoe weight"... I agree.... :mjcry:...... but I prefer to get my shyt down pat at this weight so Sage Mode can be reached in peace.... :blessed:

Quick glance I would move my hands inside more closer to your trap. You almost want to create this battery between your traps, your lats and the bar where there is tension there and you are pushing the bar up as you are coming up.

This, all the things you mentioned @trap101 and the most clear example is third rep of second video. Your left arm wiggled prolly from not being it being so far out. Lastly are you having any ankle issues?

Hmmm... that makes sense. I was trying to bring my left arm in more, but my left shoulder is tighter so I don't have the same rotation as the right. Been working on it a bit, and it has gotten a little better. Also the pushing up, whole time I've been trying to "pull down" into my traps even when I'm coming up in the squat.... Goblets of knowledge. Thanks 🙏🏾

Ha.... so no pain, but clear difference in mobility between my left amd right. I've been doing some band extensions to balance them out. It was worse before.

Been doing these: from minute 2:10

fukk i had two more reps that were supposed to be in that last video amd I had broken down more in form in them two....

What ankle issue did you see @Gully Bull?

Several things.

1. You provided receipts. :gladbron: Repped.

2. You took 3 videos and didn't get not one shot of the gym PAWGs talking in the background.
:stopitslime: Negged.

3. Repped for asking for help when you need it.
:salute: Repped.

4. You mentioned The Great Sage Equalling Heaven @Son Goku first, as it should be. Keep doing that.
:smugfavre:

5. Sage Jutsu Chakra cannot be utilized by everyone. It is very likely that you may never be able to use Honored Sage Mode. Accept this into your heart as a great possibility.
:francis:

Now, on to the shyt you actually asked about. :pachaha:

1) Your abductors are weak. Any squat viewed from the back (pause) tended to show your knees caving in (knee valgus), especially your left knee. That means your adductors have overpowered your abductors. Fix that.

2) As the other non-sages ITT mentioned you prolly need to bring your hands inside. I keep mine out but my wingspan is over half a foot longer than my height. If you don't have similarly long arms, bring your hands in.

3) You should be rotating your shoulders back or keeping them in place at the bottom of the rep. I saw several reps where you rotates yours in (i.e. brought your elbows towards the front of the body).

4) Were your shoulder blades locked in place before the eccentric (lowering) portion of each rep? Might help your traps to feel more 'engaged' if you can hammer that in.

5) It looked like you were looking down a lot. That was supposed to be all high-bar, yes? Make sure to be looking forward (not up) when squatting HB. When squatting LB your head should tilt down more because the angle formed between your quads and your shoulders is decreased.

To us lesser morals, it’s an ongoing dilemma.. full 6 pack or 405 squat

My quads ain’t even sore nor do I feel fatigued

Be in lifting purgatory brahs

:mjcry:

:skip:

To us greater mortals, we usually bush such mundane goals.

My quads ain't even sore and I'm squatting every day I lift. :unimpressed:

What's the benefit of having a "six pack" if you still look scrawny in clothes and stay hungry? Do you walk around with your shirt off on the regular? What's the benefit of squatting 405 when it's always some other cat moving more weight? What happens when you get to 405 and realize that ain't it?

You setting these pointless benchmarks is one of the reasons you suffer.

These are all just hollow goals til I figure out what I actually wanna do

At what point will it be enough strength?!?

On a less pressing note now that

Gonna focus on concentric part of the squat using the safety pins (forgot the name for it) as it appears to be a mental block that’s keeping me from upping my numbers

It's never "enough" strength, not for folks that understand the true meaning of skrenf.
:what:

fukk I look like stopping short of my limit for no damn reason?
:gucci:

That's what these weak-ass coli nikkas do. Ole "I never go above 2/3 plates"-ass cretins.
:hhh:

Sounds like either Anderson or pin squats. :yeshrug:
