not quite that. Back in college I herniated my lower spine playing soccer. I legit walked back to my dorm hunched over like Quasimodo.Maybe should alternate weeks between back and front squat.
Definitely stretch the night before. That’s I used to do.
You almost have to prep like an athlete when you’re initially starting squats regularly.
But after a while your body gets used to it.
From the sounds of it, even though have been squatting and deadlifting in the past few months, you’re body still isn’t really used to it.
Went to the docs and they gave me some heavy steroids to ease the pain and quell the inflammation. Also did an MRI and confirmed the discs in the lower back had some degeneration. Ever since then, I'll randomly get a "flair up" like once a year for like a week or so. Flair-ups usually come if I sleep very oddly and my weight is improperly distributed my spine, that or serious bloating can mess me up.
Outside of that, I'm perfectly fine and don't really have any issues. Only thing is I gotta strengthen the core to keep everything tight there.
