Instead of going off 5 hours of sleep and sun boptimal nutrition which would lead to an over reliance on #POWDA, I slept in.

Strength Leg Day in PHUL........ fukking grip gave out on my last havy set of deadlifts... .. frustrsting..:stopitslime:. was just at that threshold where you feel the burn kicking in amd you know you got about another 4-5 in you. I got wraps and know I could use them, but I don't want to off of principles....... truth is I feel I shouldn't need to wrap at the weight I'm pulling (260 lbs) and I know I need to get my grip strength up. The weights going up in the next block cause these lifts felt too easy for too many reps, so I'm probaby gonna have to wrap up then if I want to get those quality burn reps in.....:yeshrug:..






On another note.... copped some premium #Powda so bout to be in demon mode in the temple :demonic:

I was doing 5/3/1 rep schemes for the "strength" days. So today it gave out on my final working set, I was at 6 reps. And as you know final working set is AMRAP...... also cause grip is weak... :mjcry:.

Your TM is too high if you could only get 6 reps on your AMRAP, unless it was your 1+ set.

Yeah it was the 1+ set. I think my TM's for the compounds are just right cause except for the grip issue on deadlifts, my 1+ sets all see me get about 6-8 reps in. I've been feeling and seeing the strength increase pretty steadily so I'm happy with that. Just the deadlift grip... .

Your grip should not be an issue this early on [meaning at weights this low] so I wonder if you have another issue presenting itself as something else.

Assuming you used 90% 1RM for TM, your 1+ set is only 85.5% 1RM.

I mean, your TM could be too high for just that lift, but it sounds to me like you're about to stall.

If you disagree then I don't know what to tell you, I guess we'll see.

I used 95%, but still your right about grip failing at this low a weight. Next week is deload week so i'll see if maybe there is something up with my technique amd record it.
