Did a rare Friday workout..only because tuesday I'm taking a gym day off to catch an advanced screening of candyman..might as well get an extra day of lifting to make it up...I had another person go ahead and introduce herself to me. She stopped her workout just to get my attention..I was the most consistent person of color she had seen in the gym (she was also a person of color) and she wanted to know more about me. Chatted me up for like 20 mins lol...good times


Nice, but Friday and Saturday workouts are >>>.

Brehs always ask how to bag chicks at the gym. Just do your work consistently and opportunities will be there if you have enough females at the gym.

man i havent done weekend workouts consistently since i was in college when i used to do 5-6 days a week in the gym

its been mon-thurs for my workout days for a while

id only do friday and weekend workouts for a specific reason

example 2 jobs ago i used to travel all over the united states..one of my tasks was being a software trainer..i use to travel up to 2 weeks of the month at times man...if the hotel gyms werent up to par or i felt i missed too many days then i went on friday and the weekends to make up for it

or when i was boxing and wanted to get some work in, the weekends were great for that

or if i was training for something like a 5K or warrior dash, it was added on workout days

fridays and weekends are recovery days now or i do something non gym related thats active like play ball, swim, etc etc

I woke up after 5-6 hours of sleep and discovered Body had us made special Weekend Chakra. :blessed: Combine it with Leg Day Chakra and that #Powda! and we finna be :mjlit:.


I got the intraworkout in the freezer right now. This'll be my 6th full body session since Sunday (and 7th squat session this week). shyt is finna be flames. :noah:

Edit: so i just PRd 295 on deads but that bytch was a fraction of an inch from slipping outta my weak ass forearms :damn:

If he does I'd assume it's cause he's new to deadlifting. :ld:

Im def new to dead lifting i didnt start till like 3 or so months in to my lifting, if i used straps i could def pull more than i squat it didnt feel that heavy at all i just dont have the forearm err hook grip strength :mjlol:

Imma have to practice that hook grip if its better :patrice:

Hook is mos def better but it can be extremely painful until you get used to it.

I never use straps. :picard: Damned unsporting if you ask me.

Any weight over 4 wheels is usually when I switch to hook. Hook grip is also safer for your biceps tendons than supinating, although I usually do both for anything over 95% conventional (sumo is different).
