I used to curse my parents for combining skinny dominant genes and having me. But now I'm over 30 I can still eat whatever I want, whenever and not gain at all. :blessed:

Folks on here talmbout eating three times a week, not a day, like food is going outta fashion. :huhldup:


I'm not a reptile so I'm cool on a snake diet. If it works that's good l I guess, just know it couldn't be me. :hubie:


I'm OT right now and have prolly dropped at least 5 lbs this last week. :smugfavre: Going on the mother of all refeeds when I get back to my city, even @portcityplaya would be put to shame. Barbecue ribs, Whataburger, donuts, I can't wait. :banderas:

Finna eat some Hawaiian rolls and fried rice right now. :smugbiden:

I actually lift to be bigger. If I stop lifting weights I go back to the skinny, sunken place. :lolbron: :what:

I’m 5’8 1/2 which is still a good height .

It’s a life long battle .

When I’m in great shape it’s amazing.


Right now I’m almost back inching closer to my goal .

Ive learn a lot about my body by fasting .


I see how food really affects me and what I can get away with .

Another amazing session. Felt like my chest was gonna explode on that last set of incline db press. Didn’t do any barbell work, just DBs, cable flys and dips. I really sleep on dips sometimes. Left the gym absolutely knackered.

SN: Idk about a snake diet, but periodic fasting is good just to reset your body. I usually do a Friday fast during the Lenten season. I found my mind just better focused during my fast.

I had a coworker who did a 40 day fast when I was working in Cambodia. He was Buddhist but wanted to try Jesus’ 40 day fast just to push himself. Only drank water but he still exercised (walking). He said the first week was the toughest but after that his body adjusted. 2 weeks in and he said his mind was the sharpest he’s ever remembered.

Obviously not a regular thing but fasting has benefits :yeshrug:

Back day tomorrow with squats :wow:

It’s not sustainable but it’s amazing that’s why I said why do people get so offended by fasting .

Snake diet is literally just fasting but drinking salt water mix . It’s like an iv when you go through hungry waves or just being loopy .

Ive done a 5 day fast just because after day 3 I was like shyt I’m not even hungry I can go longer .


I’m going to try to always fast even when in shape .


It’s dope to just reset your body .


Like I said my workouts only suffer the day I eat on Wednesday's.


My sat work outs are usually my best .

why do people get so offended by fasting .

I think its American culture to a degree. You know, consume, consume, consume. Strive for comfort and try to eliminate anything that make life difficult (even though some level of struggle is beneficial).

I remember reading Obama did Friday fasting when he transferred to Columbia as a way to discipline himself/deny himself.

People ask me how I lost my quarantine weight so fast .

Soon as I tell them my fasting plan they can’t fathom not eating .


They like :what: you go days and u still go to the gym .


I’m like yea :dahell:.


Right now I’m still fasting cause I wanna get lean so I’m staying with it .


I don’t need to I can do it the slow way .


Like I said my home girl who put me on she only fast like this a couple times a year . She usually fast right before vacation so she can get nice and tight . She isn’t fat all but she want her pics to be lit :russ:.

Her bday in a couple weeks so she on so she can look snatched .

No one said fasting didn't have benefits nor was anyone offended. If it works for you great. All I was saying is that it's not the end all be all that a lot of people, especially on this site try to make it. Everyone has different goals and everyone can reach those goals with different approaches. And please don't generalize by saying it's an American thing. There are plenty of Americans who fast:stopitslime:

If you're lifting heavy day in and day out fasting isn't the way because your lifts will suffer. I'm sure there are some but I don't know any PLers that fast regularly since being in a deficit will actually make you weaker, not stronger. :ld:

If you're tryna lose weight fasting could work for you, but having discipline and being on a normal calorie deficit could prolly accomplish the same thing with less hassle. :yeshrug:

The only other benefit from fasting I've heard from y'all is improved focus, which may be true but is IMO rendered a moot point by the #Powda®. :ohlawd:


If you're focus isn't skrenf or hypertrophy then I could see why some folks might do it, especially if you're heavy. :ehh:

IMHO diets don't work and there really isn't any point in being on a diet unless you have a health issue.

Eat right and work out..thats it..keto, fasting, paleo yeah they work only if you stick with them but looking around people have a hard time with staying consistent with their *diets* after a while and thats why they fall off track over and over again.
