If you're lifting heavy day in and day out fasting isn't the way because your lifts will suffer. I'm sure there are some but I don't know any PLers that fast regularly since being in a deficit will actually make you weaker, not stronger.
If you're tryna lose weight fasting could work for you, but having discipline and being on a normal calorie deficit could prolly accomplish the same thing with less hassle.
The only other benefit from fasting I've heard from y'all is improved focus, which may be true but is IMO rendered a moot point by the #Powda®.
If you're focus isn't skrenf or hypertrophy then I could see why some folks might do it, especially if you're heavy.
