Preventative or existing pain?

both :yeshrug:

squats I can walk off the rack and go about my day.

HIIT is what gets me (~30-40 mins on grass). I wouldn’t label it pain but the feeling I get def wasn’t there a few years ago :francis:.

Dynamic stretching before both.

Lifting wise I’ve kind of bushed isolations for working sets. I use them as my warm up. I also keep reps lower for me because that seems to aggravate my knees and back less.

Otherwise kind of depends how you define HIIT. Like real HIIT is pretty hard to maintain over 30-40 minutes but the meaning has kind of shifted to just a constant set of movements.

These are obviously estimations.

but ~40 yard sprints (~70%+ max speed) followed by a walk back. I’ll take a few walking breaks here and there when I get to the “fuuuck” point.

How many times a week?

Just as an older guy, sprints have limits. Like if you are doing 30-40 minutes of that then it’s going to take a toll. Just look at how that overlaps with leg days and dial it back as needed IMO

Brehs, I’ve been dealing with some discomfort in my back the past few days. No pain whatsoever and didn’t have any problems doing any of my workouts at the gym today including deadlifts.

should i take time off or should I just keep thugging it out ?
