I think the reality is that everyone has different fitness goals or ideals and they adopt the program they feel is best. Sometimes within that they use it to justify certain ideology that doesn’t really make sense. Same can be said for nutrition.And what does functional fitness even mean? How can actual strength not be functional?
How is calisthenics or crossfit any more functional than heavy Oly or powerlifting?
