I've started a new routine to cut up and lose some weight, as quarantine was not kind to a breh:unsure:

But I've been doing 12/12 IF, skipping breakfast and having black coffee, and cardio in the morning

This morning I did 10 min jumprope and 20 min on the bike...and I feel incredible :ehh:

Calves sore though but I'll chall that up to newness.

Anyone have experience with fasted cardio?
My understanding is that it’s not any more beneficial than fed cardio when all factors are the same.

I train fasted out of preference but there doesn’t seem to be any scientific evidence that fasted cardio is superior.

Was able to do a 4 mile walk yesterday with a regular gait and no limp. Still can't run quite yet and there's still some swelling around my ankle. I should be able to cycle and lift but soccer is still out of the equation for this week. Maybe even next week but we'll see.

SN: I need to incorporate more stretching into my routine. Not as limber as I used to be.

Almost all my workouts are fasted but that's because I do intermittent fasting

Workouts That Help Burn Fat
What’s the point of running on empty? Well, once you’ve been in a fasted state for a while, your glycogen stores will be slightly depleted, and your body will look for alternative fuel sources. “Within a few minutes of starting a fasted workout—no matter how far you’re planning on running—the percentage of fat you would burn in that workout would be a little bit higher,” says Antonucci.

“The research is clear: If we run fasted, we tap into our fat stores as a fuel source sooner, so we’re running more on oxidized fat versus glycogen or carbohydrates,” says Featherstun. People who ran on a treadmill in a fasted state burned 20 percent more fat than those who ate in one small study published in the British Journal of Nutrition. And people who consistently trained in a fasted state over the course of six weeks showed more endurance improvements than those who ate before working out, an older study published in the Journal of Applied Physiology found.

The Good:
- Taught my random gym bro how to pull sumo. :leon:
- Seent a PAWG squatting. :shaq:

The Bad:
- She was quarter-squatting 115. :scust:

- Gym was full of fatbodies and fukkboys (and girls). :camby: The trainers were bad though. :noah:

The Ugly:
- Some weak-ass cac was hogging my favorite rack, walkin round flexing; benching 225 for triples (missed rep 3 on one and had to do the roll of shame with no safeties). :mjlol:

- Then he took a p*ssy pad and was doing board presses with 205. :dead::dead::dead:
