i have stomach bloat that aint going away, been drinking 120oz water a day, drinking aloe vera juice day and night, trying to make sure i do core work 6x/wk...i know i need to get my diet right, but it's so hard for me to motivate to cook, been in a shytty place mentally. i don't eat more than 1500 cals, but it's definitely not clean and i need more fruits & veggies for sure :snoop:

when you got all the answers but aint doing it :smh:

The stomach is like the deep end of a swimming pool.

The first to fill up.....and the last to drain out.

Try routines that are lower ab-specific.

@dora_da_destroyer I would suggest doing more heavy lifting to produce a more systemic metabolic change, but I know brehettes don't listen to me in the gym like that.

we still don't have gyms open in my county, so i'm limited on weight. the spot i'm going to on the low, they run circuit classes - lots of cardio mixed in with med weight, but i might just do fewer reps and start upping the weight. my body def responds to heavier weight when i want to firm up

You got it. Just takes sacrifice. "In order to obtain, something of equal or greater value must be lost." :ehh:

I know when I'm really pushing one or two lifts either volume, hypertrophy, conditioning, definition, etc. will take a hit.

For example: Only went up to 360 today on squats, did two light back-off doubles. Went to 3 on bench, then two light back-off doubles. Pulled sumo and only went to 545 (with the gloves on).

Mana had dropped to almost zero during squats so I said fukk it, I'll either come back later or double up tomorrow.

Are you cool enough with head dude/dudette to do your own thing or do you have to do their circuits/WoDs?

I try to tell folks heavy weight is superior for almost every goal except endurance (and injury prevention) but cats think I'm outchea selling snake oil.

i can definitely ask to do heavier weight for the compound movement, but their circuits made me realize how trash my endurance is right now so i kinda want to keep doing the circuits to improve there...so may competing goals :sadbron: but we do legs on mon & thurs, maybe i'll do heavy weight monday then do their ciruits on thurs

I've added weight to some of my ab routines. Gains are phenomenal.

Abs are more about tension than momentum anyway.
