:whoa: :whoa:

Maybe I'm mixing up the specifics. I gotta go back and check my references. I studied the health delievery system in undergrad.

I remember having lengthy discussions wit my PH professor about chiropractors, and he talked down about using them.

He recommended PT instead.

May be state-by-state thing, but IME this holds true in NJ. I've never come across a hospital with chiropractors on staff. That's telling.

This just touches to the bigger debate within physical rehabilitation, especially regarding PT vs. Chiropractors. A Chiropractic advisory board admitted PT as inevitable economic competitors back in '05. Chiropractors having direct access, autonomy, and better marketing over PTs were major advantages. That's been changing. The advent of "evidence based practice" also put an enormous wrench into their "subluxation theory," something the profession was founded on. Ultimately, Chiropractors find themselves in a place where they have to reach outside their scope of practice more and more to compete with what a PT or DO can do equally, if not better.

These aren't just my words. Had discussions with doctors during internships many years ago that paint the bigger picture. Also had a former coworker who held a DC degree/license explain to me why he wasn't practicing as one, but as an acupuncturist who was soon to go back to school for DO.

Just sayin. :hubie:

Your professor is right a great massage therapist>>>>chiropractor and having a good PT is underrated as well.

Hell, osteopaths>>>those shamans with degrees

Tired of these old stay at home moms and the teen thots with the body-weight calisthenic bullshyt in the weight room. Like we don't have a spin class/yoga room with light weight in the back of the gym. These hoes really air squatting in front of the weight rack or doing some bullshyt 10llbs. lunge all on everyone's way. Then some of these dames wanna rock a sweatshirt over their funny shaped asses. If you want to have a discreet ass, they make sweatpants and loose joggers for women. Literally like some damn stray alley cats that get fed with attention and empty convos from nikkas in the gym. I pray for the day I can build my own gym.:gucci:

See man.....

This is the discussion I'm not trying have in this random thoughts thread, but I remember my professor straight took a dump on Chiropractors and anything that's classified under (Complementary and alternative medicine). We read several scientific articles and watched videos that essentially found holes in their methodology, showing that it's not an evidence / science-based practice, like this article:
The End of Chiropractic

My main take away was basically don't touch anything associated with CAM.

My professor dubbed it as quackery. He helps run this consumer advocate website called Quackwatch, Quackwatch
I've had other health professors link me to this as well.

Matter of fact they have a whole database dedicated to Chiropractic:
Chirobase: Your Skeptical Guide to Chiropractic History, Theories, and Practices

With me personally, I'm on the preventive health side. I'm all about taking care of yourself, limiting your risk to exposures that can lead to adverse health effects.

Perhaps this topic should be moved to HL. :jbhmm:

Real shyt I havent been to the gym in like a year. But I've been doing calisthenics regimes at home. A nikka looking cut up as fukk. :banderas:. Just don't understand the need for people to go to the gym just to do body weight exercises. I do them perfectly in my bedroom...

Might have to do more frequent refeed days for the remainder of this cut (from once every two weeks to once every 7-10 days).

Just did one on Sunday and I'm already :dead: in the gym by Wednesday. :trash:
