Man, I'm fukking dying to be back in the gym...These last 3 months have been a mothafukker.

I'll try not to be too long winded but a week before Christmas I was in a major car accident where a teen driver t-boned me going about 40-50 mph then fled on foot after totaling both of our SUV's.

Miraculously (and i say miraculously cause everyone who saw my vehicle including EMS said I was lucky to be alive) only ended up with severely bruised ribs, multiple contusions & lacerations from head to toe on left side of my body, 7 stitches, a corneal abrasion in right eye & moderate trigeminal nerve damage on left side of my head. Anyways, had to rest and recover and see a PT & chiropractor (referred to by my attorney) for about 5 weeks which helped but even after I felt up to it, they wouldn't clear me to do any strenuous activity until the end of January because it could hurt my upcoming settlement from the accident.

Finally cleared in early February to resume exercise but it was a struggle and I'd lost a good amount of strength and my cardio was horrible but I was getting back into my regular routine (I'm OCD as fukk so I needed to go back to my normal schedule) & regaining strength slowly so it was good. Rewind to November and I'm meeting an ENT specialist for CT scan results after suffering from roughly my 8th sinus infection in 2 years, diagnosed with a deviated septum & completely opacified right sinus cavity, which requires surgery to fix but will most definitely put an end to my chronic sinusitis. Wanted to put it off til summer but decided to do it 2 weeks ago since I already was laid up for so long cause of the accident. I'm recovering from now and im feeling better but I still can't lift more than 50 pounds for at least another week. I'm hoping that by this coming Wednesday, my doc will fully clear me and I can get back in the gym.

Sorry for the long ass story but I'm so fukking ready to finally be healthy, get back to it and get my strength back.

On a small vacation and my homegirl decides to stop at Popeyes. I've maybe eaten there once in my life if that. I'm in my car with her daughter who's like a niece to me. She's in her car with her husband and other kids. Me and her daughter order, shrimp, chicken, I got a shrimp po boy and an apple pie. Saved some of the food for later but I spent like $28 on there. I was like :dahell:. What kind of high priced premium.chicken are they selling over there? That seems like a maybe once every year or two type of place. :beli:

Starting to realize that I gotta date me a chick who's with the gym lifestyle.

Been with my current girl for almost two years, and she's put on that relationship weight. About 20 pounds heavier than when we met. Told her she needs to make some changes because the gym's a big part of my life, so she got a membership. But she refuses to touch the weights with me and is always telling me "I'm craving <insert bullshyt food> here" and then I feel like the bad guy if I say naw, I'm not trying to fukk up my gains.

She's great in all other aspects, but I'm starting to think it's a dealbreaker. Anyone else been in a similar situation?

That shouldn't be a deal breaker.

I'd rather have a woman great in everything but the gym. Than the other way around.

You cant force weightlifting on people. Let her do her thing.

Trust, having your ol lady working out with you isn't all it cracked up to be.

Most women aren’t going to be into weights so you are setting a tough standard. Sounds like you have an issue with the weight gain more than anything.

I hear you though because I definitely can’t deal with a chick not understanding of the importance of the gym to me :manny:
