i like the squat. but i cant go over 185 without my lower back bytching up. my legs dont even get taxed. the only injury i ever really got was from squatting also.



first leg exercises when i walk in the gym. i warm up, foam roll/stretch then go. but i been stuck and a week ass 185 for a minute.. benching more than you squat is semi embarrassing :russ:
FWIW if it aggravates your back and you don't feel leg activation then it's got to be your form.

I wonder if you are bending at the waist on the decent.

i feel leg activation, just not anymore because i feel that my legs are accustomed to the weight, but my lower back is on some hoe shyt. it probably is my form.

Today's Story:

Chick walks past me after warming up on the treadmill. She had to be 5'1 105 with the damndest hips and bubble.

Chick proceeds to go on a marathon work out. I swear at one point she threw 185 on the bar for back squats. I mean she was doing all types of sets and reps. Pull-ups, box jumps, you name it. Around the two hour mark she starts deadlifting.

It gets better.....dude walks up to here and I'm thinking he was trying to help her clear the bar so he could start deadlifting. Nope, he asked to work in. In mind I'm like :francis:

Damn if he didn't get a convo going. I rolled out but he might have completed the pull.....

She could probably snap your dicc off with them glutes:damn:

You're gonna have to strengthen that lower back with hyperextensions and stomach vacuums

I was trying to do legs a couple minutes ago. But my legs are still sore from last Monday's leg regimen. What should I do? I REALLY wanna tackle legs.

Sometimes I wonder if training legs is worth it. Sore as fukk, no one cares about legs, and highest risk of injury.

:what: Legs (along with core) are the most important body part to train. That's where all the power is.

Strong legs = more weight on upper body compounds.

did that and deadlifting on saturday. aint no feeling like post-deadlifting :wow:

I've decided to bump up deadlifting to twice a week now. Was only doing it once but I feel like I'm strong enough for two sessions. The first one will be my heavy lifting and then I'll use about 70% of my heavy lifting on the next one with more reps :myman:

Going from 3x8 to 5x10 will HUMBLE you.... I went from squatting 3x8x265 to what's prob gonna be 5x10x225

Looking for some new sneakers for the gym. Trying to upgrade my gym gear a bit. I need something I can squat in but I don't need a raised heel. Just a plain sole (no air or gel) with some ankle support. I'm kind of feeling the Adidas Tubular and Nike Flyknit series.... basically I want some poor man's Yeezys :( Any ideas
