I don't do one arm carries just because I don't want to do something funny with my spine. I'll carry the same weight kettlebell or dumbbell in each hand at the same time to work the traps and forearms.
Yeah if you have back issues you should definitely avoid unilateral carries. Any type of carry is beneficial

Thanks breh. I'm going to add this to my work out. I have a slight scoliosis in my lower back so I will start with a light weight and work my way up but nothing too crazy.
