Pretty much what I've done. Lowered the weight on everyone of my routines. My shoulders grew the fastest. But the last 3 or 4 weeks all I've been working on is my core(abs and chest really). I haven't focused on anything else.I had too much volume in my routine.... cut some unnecessary shyt out and got focused Shoulders are DOMSd the fukk out for the first time in years
Sometimes I add too much weight too fast.... gotta cut back and keep that form. Stay disciplined
So sometimes less is more. All about finding that balance
Sometimes less is more brehs
Can't do it allPretty much what I've done. Lowered the weight on everyone of my routines. My shoulders grew the fastest. But the last 3 or 4 weeks all I've been working on is my core(abs and chest really). I haven't focused on anything else.
I want an aesthetically pleasing looking core more than I do arms or legs. Can't do it all
I feel u.... I had been pruning away all the fancy equipment out of my routine to get ready to work out primarily at home, but in doing so I found that I preferred to keep it simple just because. I'm really trying to prioritize good form, honest progression and recovery... makes things go a lot better.Agree, I concentrate a lot more on:
Bench
Deads
Squats
Pressing
Hardly any machines nowadays, no dedicated arm day either, not done flys in ages, lots of various moves I used to do to "hit the muscle at another angle" I have cut out.
With reverse pyramid on the above focus my strength has gone up weekly and I feel fresher for ever gym session, I also have cut down from 5 times a week to 3 times a week this is helping me big time, I am fully refreshed thus being able to lift heavier and better.
"Quality over quantity"
Gone are days for spending 2 hours in the gym 5-6 days week
