Another thought...this has been said before and the video I posted of Tariq speaking of his trip in Brazil emphasised this point: If you're a single guy and have the money and the means,
Travel, travel, travel! As long as you're wise with your money and not blowing it away on foolishness, I'd advise anyone to see the world. If you can work for yourself eventually and have that independence, then you're
I had a job yesterday evening by Heathrow Airport and got talking to a guy who works for Virgin Atlantic and he told me ever since he started traveling on his own and seeing different places around the world, he's never been better.
I've yet to see an unhappy backpacker. You notice how they generally know where to get the best deals and where to stay. I remember watching Snakes on a Plane when that dude was saying he was planning a surfing trip to Bali after Hawaii and thinking
, that's that life. I wanna see temples, kick it with tribesmen, go deep in the rainforests and hold Toucan birds and watch monkeys and shyt like that. I used to enjoy watching shows like Globe Trekker where the presenters would do shows all around the world and experience any and everything a traveler would. If you do the research, you can travel on a budget and you can even meet people along the way who may be able to hook you up with a thing or two.
I already subscribed to a monthly travel magazine to get ideas of the countries I want to visit in the future. When I'm on my deathbed, I'd rather say that I traveled the world and got exposed to many different lands and cultures than thinking back on superficial nonsense like trying to look cute and shyt which doesn't mean a thing once you're old anyway.
If I could, I'd fly abroad four times a year.
