Probably at a base level, the amount of options overwhelm and you try to thin them by narrowing the standards down to something manageable, but in the process become a little delusional and unrealistic, in order to try and maintain some kind of control?

work: as in a monogamous relationship the next 18 months or 18 years, or connecting with someone for a moment, night, next month
you pre qualifying someone for a lifetime, in no other part of life does anyone do this, and nowhere is it probably more ineffective than romantic relationships.

Things change when a woman sees you in person and is attractive to you. I'm just saying its better to meet a woman earlier than late.
In person is where you really connect. When you see or feel chemistry, touch, and have the medium of convo to talk for more than a sentence or a meme, or trying to edit a reply, waiting for a response. That forms the kind of connection where you want to see a person again.
The texting back and forth forms like a fake bond, like one ghosted reply, and the whole thing dissolves into nothing.

It's a reason chicks spam messages on Thursday cause they looking for a weekend date. If you are cold approaching I wouldn't feel pressed to plan a date ASAP because the initial meeting should be the energy check anyways.
