Interesting brehs.

Only in my first relationship was i say totally open, and totally myself.

As a person I'm mellow, laid back, always willing to lend a helping hand. As well I'm respectful, faithful, quiet, I'd rather listen than talk. As well I rarely get angry, avoid drama and confrontation. I'd rather be home chilling reading a book watching a movie than clubbing, drinking, going out. I loathe attention, and talking to like 20 different females at once. I quickly learned in my youth this was a recipe for disaster dealing with women I'd be manipulated ad used, viewed as boring, reliable not giving them that thrill.

So my alter ego ws born will continue........

So i became a Man who didn't care, showed no emotion, no care, I'd treat women like the gum under my shoes, and they'd come back offering that thrill that unpredictable, that mean ness. I ran through a gauntlet of chicks. Always a empty feeling. Then I changed, I'd rather be me and just live my life.

If you guys were engaged or married to a woman and you got fed up with her constant disrespect, if you were part of the rare 20 to 30% of men who initiate the end of the engagement or marriage......how would you handle the situation with the ring?

Would you let her keep it or would you ask for it back? Either case would humble her and bring her back down to earth in some way, but which option would you choose?

Obviously this isn't anythimg I am going through personally, I'm just curious what are your feelings on the matter?

Let her keep it. Just because you go through something with someone doesn't mean you sacrifice your principles. In fact, you standing on your principles is what makes your principles REAL to you. If you give someone a gift, it's theirs period. Don't be vindictive and try to take the ring back. Letting her have it says a lot about you as a man.

Yeah I figured that would be the general consensus pretty much. Just wanted to get an idea if i ever end up in a situation like this one day. If I have a son one day I will make sure to teach him the same.

I can't co-sign that breh... I wouldn't let her keep the ring. The ring was our promise to one day be married but if things don't work out i'm taking it back...

what matters is not if you keep the ring or not but rather why you choose to keep it or not. As long as the thought behind your action is consistent with your code, you're good. The same action could have a different personal meaning from one individual to the next.

When you think about it, it actually makes sense.....in either case. If she is hesitant about getting the ring back or genuingly sorry(lol yeah right) for how she acted that led to you leaving her....then she knows she will look like a fool or be embarrassed when around her friends and family.

On the other hand if she is not remorseful in anyway and is pleased about getting her ring back and shoves it in your face, talking trash and everything........eventually she realizes she is looking pretty idiotic having a ring and not even being wifed by anyone at all.

"Well most attractive women don’t start to really understand how the world works until they start losing their looks. Most of them are truly oblivious to the fact that their looks have opened probably 95% of the doors in their lives. I’m guessing the chick in the video was oblivious too when she was 22. This is why she is talking about it NOW and not THEN. If you told her this crap back then she probably would have called BS.

Now that she is past her “prime” she has realized her looks meant everything in her life. Once her looks deteriorate, she will be tossed out of the industry like yesterday’s donuts and be invisible to most men of dignity.

Once the bloom of youth starts to fade and stuff starts to sag.. its a real wake-up call for most women. For the first time in their lives everyone is not kissing their ass. For the first time in their lives they have to pay a speeding ticket. For the first time in their lives they actually have to be qualified or connected to get a job. For the first time in their lives, men are not drooling over them. For the first time in their lives they face the harsh reality that all men face from adulthood onward = Be useful or perish.

Entitled women who figure this out early get knocked up ASAP so they can mooch off the state as an insurance policy should they not find a willing man to serve them financially.

If you spend your life in delusion exploiting men and thinking you can live that way forever, its a harsh wake up call when you find yourself in your 40′s with no skills, no money, no kids and no men to take care of you. Scary stuff."

Props to all the dudes contributing in this thread, the last two months of reading shyt in here was knowledge & GOLD. I've been slowly rewiring myself over the last three months and it's :wow: Been feelin' real brand-new lately

I've come to the conclusion at 26 years of age that I've become over "westernized" (a little too much for my own good). Subsequently, I learned to engage in a lot of lame behaviors in terms of western dating such as playing games and tolerating bullshyt for the sake of having sex (irony being once I gain the career I desire, I'll more than likely go back home and marry a traditional girl). Somewhere in my past I forgot how to be a man and instead turned into a dude following a "script" to get p*ssy.

It's weird because my pops would say shyt slightly along the lines of the insight that kevm3 drops but less detailed however I used to ignore my dad's logic because I thought he was just some old motherfukker talkin about his heyday.

Anyway thanks again fam

:salute: I just graduated last Dec from SJ State and I still saw dudes simpin' out to help a broad with her assignments, exams, and reports.

Dudes need to learn to not  to a pretty bish

Happened to me once when I was 18 & @ community college. :pacspit: only had myself to blame for lacking the dignity to say :whoa: "I ain't going to let you snatch up my hard work and pass it off as your own".

Anyway hopefully the LADodgersFitted dude will learn from that and not let that shyt happen again.

One thing yall need to stop doing is saying the term "She is out of my league". Thats like putting a woman on a pedestal or above you. NO WOMAN on this earth is better then you. It's like this.... Muhammad Ali wasnt the biggest, the fastest boxer of his day but he is the greatest. He didnt become the greatest thru skill only it it was mainly because of his CONFIDENCE you guys see what im say. You may not be the best looking, richest or have the best game but no woman is out of your league. You should have confidence that if Beyonce was single you could bag her. Also every woman is expendable....you shouldnt have to beg or plead with them. "Baby baby i cant live without you" etc...its time for us men to take back the power.
