I find we raise kids too much integrated into pop culture and all these "independent thinkers" aren't as rebellious, as they think.

Babies and toddlers shouldn't even be watchin' enough TV to have show dialogue committed to memory. And; a feminist watching Disney channel? They are about as undercover misogynist as they come.



That's the thing: I'm glad I'm comfortable enough to go to a restaurant & sit at the bar and watch the game, by myself. I've gone to a couple of movies by myself. Moving away, for college, and living, basically, alone for 4 years was easy. I've had to to move hundreds of miles and I've done it all alone.

But, I'll be 25, this year, and I'm starting to think about a family. You don't have to preach Western marriages, to me--we have a lot of the same views, but, I want to get married. But, I do not know how to operation in a union. I've never been in a relationship and my day-to-day is overwhelming independent of anyone's expectations or dependence, on me, for their livelihood. It makes me lazy.

Maybe, I need to volunteer, or something (I plan to do so). But, I know it isn't good to be so individualized. I do for others, a lot. But, that's family. I don't know how I'd deal with life with another adult, or kids, with needs, in my life.

It's something I work on...

@C.Holla I ran into that girl i've spoken about on here. Did the right thing walked up right and confidently. she avoided eye contact with her head to the side when walking back to the class.....

I did it breh. Me and u aint no simps no more. to reformed simps. I must say you probably know what I mean when I say its so refreshing to see a female more hesitant or shy and not as brash and agressive like she was before when you were being taken advantage of.

Not staring hard as hell at you with her eyes glowing a because she knows you can be easily taken advantage of and will do constant "favors" for her that she can laugh about her girlfriends to....

Now she is reduced to being weakened by the gaze of a new confident man


That gesture by her showed me that I'm improving my "defense" as kev calls it.

My bad bout the late response...but good man. Good you put your foot down and stepped up. This will give you confidence forever. Long story, short: After my parent's divorce, I had to help with my bro and sis. My dad's job was more than enough to care for us. But, I was the oldest and held that responsibility in everything. Never was out the house, except school, 'til I got a job @ 16.

I was super introverted 'til then. But, I came out of my shell and started a social life. That all went backwards after I started school and joined the service. I was so narrow-minded--graduate and do good in the military--because I was stuck trying to please my father.

By the time I snapped out of it--and started living for myself--a family tragedy struck and I've been pickin' up the pieces since '10.

Again, I blame that on the introversion. I loved being around people, but, I concentrated so much on a succeeding at a singular goal, I failed in another places.

I ain't been on a date since high school.

But, I think I've learned more than enough to survive out there. Ya'll just make it sound so bleak. I don't take what ya'll say as total reality. This is just one community of people's experience. I'm sure I'll be okay. I just gotta find the time in between work and applying to law school.

I don't have confidence issues and I'm solid enough in my faith to know what I want outta life. And I've got enough actual experience, dealing with girls (as a boy) to build from. No fear, here.

Nah, pickiness is a GREAT thing, especially in this day and age. What do you get from knocking down women you don't particularly care for and certainly wouldn't want to be with for the long term? At most, you might get some daps from some homeboys for smashing a lot of hoes, but your homeboys can't take the stds for you and they certainly won't pay the child support for you if you get some woman pregnant. In this day and age, we've been brainwashed through a lot of different sources, especially media, that we constantly need to be having sex with a lot of different women, but they conveniently leave out the repercussions.

Of course she will say she was just playing when confronted. That's the typical woman response. "I wasn't serious! I was just joking."

What I tell ya'll about believing them stories women got for ya? Any woman on a hip hop site is ready to get knocked. If she regularly hangs out anywhere with a lot of dudes instead of with her boyfriend or husband on a day to day basis, she's presenting the opportunity for her to get knocked. That's why you don't deal with club women and go exclusive with them. If a woman is ready for exclusivity and is really about you, your attention is enough.
