In sheer randomness I hit up a woman I've known of for about 8 - 9 years. Really I was trying to catch up with her. Cute middle eastern girl from Houston. We had similar acquaintances and friends back in the day. Ended up asking her let's catch up. She was showing strong interest in me. We ended up making out and talking a bit.

apps will have you thinking the game is terribly rigged but its just a misconception. As a dude you kinda NEED to curate your profile and do the extra tedious work so that women find you fun. Women dont REALLY need to do do all that cause WE are the pursuers. A bytch can wear a $5 ass dress, some suss makeup and still get swipped right by a few dudes.

Getting rejected in person is also a humbling experience. I had a chic turn me down in the grocery store the other day and she dead ass giggled when she mentioned she had a boyfriend. Its shyt like that, that wont have you feeling defeated, but instead give you hope that you can do better

Sometimes dating apps demoralized me. For me Hinge seems more balanced and more curated for your needs and wants in a partner. At my stage of life I don't expect to get matches like a 21 year old or something, but I do expect quality matches. Honestly pursuing real life seems to yield positive results too and building my social circle.

I basically said let's catch up. Minimum chatting. She said yes. But I think it's different because she knows of me and also we know mutual friends/acquaintances. I ran into her early last year. She also hit me up in 2020 after he divorce and I saw her in 2018ish at a concert with her husband. There was always some interest there I guess. It has happened to me before where women come out the woodwork and hit me up years later. I can't say anything fruitful has came of it as of yet. Just interesting stories and sort of reaffirms the idea that you're attractive and how funny life can be I guess.

Either that or if it’s two women then one might not want to take the unattractive person, or someone might hold you back, or makes you look less “valuable” depending on the friend you bring, it’s a number of things.

But I like solo the best. I can be in and out & while she’s with her friends, she can just sneak off.
