So I arrive at church yesterday and since I was in the back I could only see her from the back, tall, lightskin and not fat slim. I was like

Not usually. But I guess context matters. I guess for most of us 'double texting' is sending a chick a question. Not getting a reply and as a way to try and usually fail to force her to reply, we send another question. That for me is a no-no.
In the case of that breh, 11 months is a joke.
Texting in general can be a minefield. But for me it tells me what a woman's overall energy and interest is.
If my energy is not being reciprocated then double texting is like trying to keep a fire that's dying desperately going.
Every breh in this thread has suffered the dreaded. "Sorry, I only just saw your message" BS from a chick.
It took me a while but healthy-minded women where we've both set clear boundaries and expectations I never have to think about double texting.
I texted the Hapa chick 5 mins ago and she has already texted back. We tell each when we have time to message and when we don't.
For me, texting is no replacement for actual meeting in person, but it also serves as an early warning system when a chick is cooling on you.
