I am starting to think Proximity is a bigger thing than anything else or extremely underestimated or undervalued. It was something I wanted to touch on after this holiday season (parties, thanksgiving potlucks, friendsgivings, work holiday parties, networking holiday events, etc.) as I have been missing most of these last couple years due to covid. Been outside these last couple weeks running thru different circles (club/hospitality, real estate/mortgage, IT/engineer, lawyers, dentist/doctors)
I wont touch too much on my club dudes because what they get away with doesnt even count, lol.. But at my real estate function, I havent been around and some of the established people were catching up, I was known in company from years ago as running thru the office and I passed the torch to a guy who did same and now married and having a kid. We chopping it up and they are like you guys need to meet the new guy having his way. On way out they point him out and Im like oh shyt, Im like I heard you are that dude, he is like yea man I dont even know why but I am enjoying it! Now outside looking in this guy is like 5'8 bald unassuming guy and was driving a rav4, in south florida you would be like nah he isnt getting any play. But the proximity of working in social environment with mostly women just increases odds at a high level. I didnt hang out with him enough to know what his angle (guy I passed torched to was dam near comedian level funny) was but was interesting to see by itself.
But then when you contrast with my interactions with my doctor dudes, these guys are flush, confident as hell in their domains/environments but they lead with their fukking wallets soo much its like antigame. It works obviously but we understand the dynamics of presenting yourself as provider type puts you in slow lane and has the highest cost. These dudes have no problem throwing unnecessary cash around and I get it, its your unique selling proposition or tump card, but cotdam dont make yourself a mark. Hard to even explain as it seems like remedial level anti game.
Ex. Setting hooters type establishment with a couple Drs.
Hooters girl: "Oh soo what do you guys do?"
Me: "Oh we are janitors, just grabbing drinks quick"
HG: "Why do they have on scrubs?"
Me: "New uniform tha-..."
Doctor: "Oh we are doctors, we work at yada yada, here is my card"
We get her number, when we leave I toss it, these guys are like why?? Im like dude, any of us could of grabbed for a couple drinks, now you set the bar at her expecting to be wined and dined, purses and trips, dumb shyt..
Now you get down to my IT/engineer bros, my gawd.. Even I know everyone says dont shyt where you eat, but in real world I see it everywhere, the doctors are getting the nurses, the lawyers have their domain and decent mix, etc. But these engineer dudes are hurting something bad. They make money but the numbers are already not in their favor as far as just being in proximity to women but then its like they cant turn off their logical brain and soo square they cant even loosen up at an event with open bar.. Like I can empathize with most but this was a sad bunch that would need a total makeover. I dont know if its staring at screens all day but they miss cues, say off the wall things at wrong time, mannn.. I can probably save one or two guys and bring into other worlds to introduce and make connections but cotdam this is gonna be tough..
I could touch on multiple topics that been on TLR lately, having women as friends (Having beautiful women as friends is damn near a currency, They can get you in rooms, get you accounts, evangelize your business and put money directly in your pockets, thats not even including preselection)
LOL I can only speak for the black engineers not cacs all of the ones I know have gfs or are not hurting in the dating department.
