The crazy thing is that my interest in the NFL has grown every year since around 07. growing up i didnt watch football at all. My earliest memories of NFL was around 99 when the Rams and Kurt Warner took over. I was like 16. Maybe its how the NBA is player driven while NFL is team driven

Nah, I don't get to follow sports as a whole like I used to but I make sure that I keep up with pro basketball. I still get the NBA package and I usually catch the late games, mainly the Lakers. I still love the game and whatever free time I have I sit down and watch games. I'm really impressed with our young talent this year. I'm not a fan like I used to be, that's because I'm busy.

I'm an old head but I don't feel the 80's and 90's players are better than today's players. I'm not an era hater and I don't exaggerate my era like some old heads do.

It's not much of an exaggeration if The Spurs are still in competition to win every year. Hell The Mavericks won in 2011 with the second oldest roster of all time. with players whose careers started late 90's early 2000's being huge contributors to those teams.(Shawn Marion. Jason Terry, Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Kidd) Now if the game isn't remotely close to then/now then all of these old dudes should be contributing or being asked to contribute on a championship caliber team. And the way many people talk they shouldn't even still be in the league.

I mean you got contenders clamoring to sign Ray Allen for Christ sakes.

I'm more into this season that the couple years prior. There is a lot of exciting basketball out there. The ONLY thing I dislike is how all of the superstars of today are best friends. I miss the hate fueled rivalries but that's not to say they aren't competitive. They are. It's just that I don't care for all the giggling. :manny:

I will probably be just as interested as I am now. Dont have the time I used to have or the wide eyed innocence but I still love the game and likely always will. If your appreciation of the game is based on certain players and/or a fleeting period in your life then of course it will dwindle as time goes on. Its just funny to hear young black guys sound like old white guys.

That's why I'm glad I live on the west coast.. cause when I get off of work the western conference basketball games come on...

The eastern conference is trash until u get to the conference finals really.

NBA been trash since 2010. It's almost unbearable now but I keep watching to fill up boredom.

33 here. With the never dull moments being a Kings fan (George Karl new HC, New arena , Boogie) and seeing the dubs trying to see a championship in June, I still keep attention to my favorite teams . Though my attention span for most of the other teams have waned. I'm less of a fan of the NBA as a whole compared to being a fan of my team itself.

The 49ers have garnered the same attention as the Kings within the last couple of years . Even though I've been a fan of both most of my life. Before, nearly all my attention was with the Kings when it came to pro sports teams.

I'll tell you this. If the Kings moved to Seattle a few years ago, I wouldn't care about the NBA anymore. Same with the All Star Game this past Sunday. If Boogie didn't get selected, :camby:

My team has to be in the loop for me to care about the overall NBA.

I'm still a fanatic and love the NBA but my interest wanes year by year. Well, I'm not even sure if my interest is waning or if I'm simply busier with more things on my plate now. Six, seven, eight years ago when I was in my early twenties and unemployed I could/would watch games every day of the week.... hell, I used to skip the club on Saturday or Friday nights to watch games from 7pm until 1am. But now that I'm almost 30 and I'm really on my grind I simply don't have enough time to be watching games all night, and even when I do have the time for it I can always find something better to do (like get some p*ssy)... and sooner or later I'll have kids, be married, or whatever and maybe have less time.

I do assume, though, by the time I'm in my 50s or whatever I'll probably get back into the game a lot more since I gotta assume my life will be less busy by that point, but I could be completely off base about that. It also makes it easier to lose interest since most of these players in the league now are younger than me and it's simply not as impressive anymore. When I was 11 these were supermen to me, now I just look at the NBA as a bunch of regular motherfukkers with incredible genetics and work ethics.

The NBA was just more exciting when we were kids. More superstars, more personality, just down right entertaining.
No, it wasn't. You were just a kid, and therefore you were more easily entertained.

Life as a whole is more entertaining for a kid.

Put it this way... these 10-year-olds and 11-year-olds that watch basketball are every bit as entertained as you were when you were their age... and when you were that age, the people who are the age you are now were just as unentertained.
