Basketball has always been the #3 major sport to me.

1. College Football
2. NFL
3. NBA

So I'll check on my Bulls every now and then and I will mos def watch the playoffs.

The way it is nowadays Football is essentially year round, with recruiting, Spring games, the combine, the draft, free agency, and the general fukkkery innate to footballl players, there is no longer an off season for either of those sports, which basically has the NBA on the back burner for me until shyt really gets important.

Not just the NBA with me. The NFL is reaching that point where unless it's a big game I zone out. College football is the only thing that's really sacred now.

If you can knock it down, shoot that thang, eras change I get that, but where are the fundamentals, the back to the basket play. I know an biased when it comes to this just like 40 year olds think the 70s and 80s was the better ball

Nah, I don't get to follow sports as a whole like I used to but I make sure that I keep up with pro basketball. I still get the NBA package and I usually catch the late games, mainly the Lakers. I still love the game and whatever free time I have I sit down and watch games. I'm really impressed with our young talent this year. I'm not a fan like I used to be, that's because I'm busy.

I'm an old head but I don't feel the 80's and 90's players are better than today's players. I'm not an era hater and I don't exaggerate my era like some old heads do.

Outside of the Spurs i could care less about how the season unfolds. I guess ill throw the Hawks in there too since this is the 1st time ive seen them at the top of the standings

not a coincidence they play like the spurs either...

another thing that irritates me about the league...the Spurs brand of basketball isnt rocket science...other teams could run that if they had the guys buy in. The assist has become the most annoiying stat in basketball...everyone wants to be Lebron, hold the ball and then pass for an assist instead of just moving without the ball.

yeah and back in the days i couldn't sit through a Mavs vs Bullets game either every game is not to be watched
:shaq2: 90s bullets was way more entertaining than the wiz kids of today. Young C Webb Juwan Rasheed even the Rod Strickland days:banderas::camby:> John Wall & Bradley Beal era. Hell even the Gilbert Arenas era was more entertaining than the current Wizard era.

Nah, don't agree with this thread. I'm not near my 30s but I enjoy basketball as much as I did in the early 00's. Yeah, I love hero ball as much as the next guy. When Klay dropped 37 in a quarter it had me on the edge of my seat as did T-Mac when he dropped 13 in 35. But if you're a fan of the game, it's been as good as ever. A Thunder/Warriors game will entertain me just as much as a Lakers/Kings game did in the early 00's.

And still, people underrate the greatness of players in today's game.

Regardless of the weird agenda people have against LeBron, he's a pleasure to watch. The domination, athleticism, beautiful facilitating, it's really incredible. Durant and Steph are just as exciting. Westbrook's ability to go on tears at such an insane rate is incredible. And it's not just scoring. When he's in the zone he's unstoppable on all facets, facilitating, scoring, defense. He really reminds me of Jordan when he gets into that zone.

Look, I'm not going to say I watch basketball on a nightly basis, even my Rockets, but when a good matchup is on, I'll watch, and i'll enjoy it just like I did when I was a kid trying to emulate T-Mac in my backyard. Basketball is basketball, it's a beautiful game.
